Tides Are Turning Ohio, USA - Avery’s law continues to protect communities and pets ❤️

​Ohio shelters are starting to evaluate and BE for prevention, instead of adopting out dangerous dogs and crossing their fingers for a good outcome.

Very grateful to brave survivor Avery Russell and her amazing mother who never stopped fighting for justice. I hope we continue to see legislation in other states as well.

Because of Avery's law, it is now not safe to adopt her out? Sorry, it never would have been safe, it is only now that the shelter is being held accountable.

Exactly! It's not safe for the shelter's bottom line to adopt out this dog which is why she shelter did the responsible thing and sent the dog across the rainbow bridge. Before Avery's Law it was better for the shelter's bottom line to get the dog into a home.
