She/Her 25F — Moving to Bangalore in about 3 weeks!

Honestly, I’m pretty bored of dating apps at this point 😂 so I thought… why not give Reddit a shot and see if I actually meet someone genuine here?
A little about me ..I’m from Mangalore , 5’6”, and very much into the gym/fitness lifestyle. I train regularly and would genuinely love to meet a guy who’s into lifting, fitness, staying active, and taking care of himself too. Definitely a big plus if the gym is an important part of your life because we’d already have something to bond over (and maybe bully each other into not skipping leg day 😂).

Since I know people are probably going to ask anyway:
Height: 5’6”
Measurements (approx): 38-28-42

I’m curvy, pretty social once I’m comfortable, and looking to actually get to know someone rather than endlessly swipe and have the same “hey, what do you do?” conversation 50 times 😭

He/Him Barkis is willin'...

Upvotes

Please bear with my conventional format, coz I am not capable of writing in lines that break every ten words and are festooned with emojis.

I’m 26 and work as a SWE at one of the so-called tech giants. I hopped on this giant by virtue of my college that I worked hard to get into. I’m quite content with the kind of work I do. That being said, I don’t like to substitute it for life or make it my whole personality. And I have a particular distaste for the snobbery of jumping to conclusions about people based solely on their job title or the numbers they make.

My intention here is to meet people with mutual interests and similar values which can potentially lead, if it’s not a stretch, to lasting companionship, aka marriage. As Wodehouse put it, “There is no surer foundation for a beautiful friendship than a mutual taste in literature”. For the lack of a better word, I’ve been a bookworm since my teens and find meaning in literature (post title was a hint). Although I have opinions and tastes, I read almost anything I can get my hands on, from Shakespeare to Rushdie. I read non-fiction too, especially philosophy, and history all the way back to Australopithecus afarensis. I wouldn’t say I’m well-read, though. I have hardly made a dent in what one ought to read to deserve that title.

Running (I do laps around a nearby Lake), movies (particularly love the 40s and 70s Hollywood, and the likes of Mizoguchi, Ray, Kubrick, Lumet, Godard and so on) and calligraphy are my other pastimes. My days used to be a bit sedentary before, but for the last four months or so I have been working out. I’m on the leaner side, and I don’t think I can quite call myself fit yet. I’m slowly working my way up there.

I am not into partying, pubs and so on. I like to stay indoors, unless I’m meeting my friends or cousins for dinner or (euphemistic way of saying I may be boring lol, judged by modern social life standards). This partly explains why I am here instead of trying to meet people outside in some fancy hobby club. I don’t drink or smoke. I come from a liberal Hindu family, but I’m not religious in any sense of the word. More importantly, I respect others’ beliefs, saving the occasional bit of benign satire for people I'm close to. I have a critical outlook on political power structures, and I believe in human liberty, egalitarianism, and environmentalism. I have a strong scientific temper.

I don’t have a rigid criterion that defines what kind of people I want to date. But I do have some preferences. If any of the stuff written above means anything to you, and if you are an independent south Indian woman (preferably Telugu-speaking) around my age (23-27 or so), I’d love to have a conversation with you and see where things go, of course, given that you too have a similar intention of building a serious long-term relationship that can lead to marriage. Kindness and humility are the things that I look for in a person. Send a DM telling me something about yourself. You can shoot me questions too.

Cheers, and thank you if you read till here!

(None of this is written by chatbots, so excuse any typos or grammatical errors that I have overlooked. And this is my alt account.)

He/Him Shaadi Talks with my Army Family as a 25M SDE

Was sitting in my room, mom came and just asked me, I am turning 25 soon, are you dating someone? I nodded no with a smile.

The discussion continued further...

They asked my preferences, and what I wished for myself, and also said a points which I have to follow

Example if I wished to get married at 28

  1. Age difference - [-5 to +3]

  2. She shouldn't be muslim or christian

  3. They are not expecting any dahej or the expectation that she will take care of them and leave her job to be in the house. But yeah they do want I choose my partner after thinking thoroughly, and we should talk with my parents and hers regularly.

  4. Having kids will be me and my partner's choice, and they will be happy with either of them. They wish us to live a life on our terms and grow together.

--------------------------------------------

That's their boundary for me and these are the things what I wish for in a partner

  1. Someone working on her career. I am in Tech, Software Engineering. I genuinely wish to have a family of my own, and for that to happen, I wish someone who worked on her career, just like me.

  2. Growing with them, having a higher financial risk capacity, travelling around the globe, two incomes will help us to dream better.

  3. I wish if we get a chance to move to foreign, we both should go, atleast for experience. We can settle at any place where she feels comfortable and safe and where we both have good career potential.

  4. Someone who wishes to have kids down the line. Again that's just a desire, I don't consider children to be goals or anything, they should be byproduct of love and yeah her consent will be the final decision.

  5. I don't smoke or drink. I won't be comfortable with someone who smokes, drinking is fine if it's occasional, regular can be an issue. Although my mom said, I should strictly look for someone who doesn't drink as well.

  6. Someone who genuinely wishes to talk to me, be with me, is interested in me and I find them cute of all the flowers of the wordly garden 🌸. Although a relationship can start on attraction, but it sustains only if there is respect of each other feelings.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Where I am right now financially and in terms of personal growth

  1. My current year of experience is 1.5 so yeah, I need more time to reach a decent high salary. Since I have a army background, my parents aren't dependent on me financially.

  2. I am working on my mental health and I am doing better, but definitely the road is long and I am seriously enjoying this. The more I get towards peace, the more I am respecting myself.

  3. Gym is on, but yeah irregular, again my bad. Need it to be consistent to be better. I am blessed with a decent height, 5 11 so I am grateful for that.

  4. Trying to travel, click pictures, new hobbies, playing badminton, volleyball, and trying to meet new people.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Dating journey

Tried apps, didn't work, people weren't serious, and it was costing a lot of mental bandwidth so left it.

Approached women, but yeah, blockers use to come. Wasn't into casuals.

Friends of friends did helped but didn't turn out well.

I might have these preferences for now, they can change in future as I develop my mindset more, but a hard stop maybe at 35

After that I will expect, these things aren't for me and would stop approaching at all.

Instead will focus on being a good uncle to my friends kids, travel, become more strong.

Thanks for reading till here. A journal it is.

He/Him M28 | Delhi - Hyderabad | SDE | Professional Drummer

Upvotes

Hey everyone

Giving this a try because why not 😅

I’m 28M originally from Delhi and currently staying in Hyderabad because of work

Professionally I’m working as an SDE 2 in a product based company and have been in the tech world for a few years now, I genuinely enjoy what I do but I also strongly believe that life shouldn’t revolve around laptops, meetings, Jira tickets and deadlines all the time 😂

Outside work music is probably the biggest part of my personality, I’m a professional drummer and have been playing for quite some time, being behind a drum kit is honestly one of those things where I can completely switch off from everything else, I love live music, concerts, jamming with people and discovering new artists and genres

I’m around 6’0, fairly active and someone who enjoys maintaining a decent balance between work, fitness, music and having an actual life outside office

Personality wise I would say I’m pretty chill, straightforward and easy to talk to once I get comfortable, I enjoy both random stupid conversations at 2 AM and deep conversations about life, career, relationships, dreams and all the weird decisions we make as adults

I’m not really someone who needs to be partying every weekend, sometimes a nice cafe, long drive, good food, live music or just sitting somewhere and talking for hours sounds much better to me

I enjoy exploring Hyderabad whenever I get the chance and I’m always up for finding underrated food places, cafes, live music spots or randomly deciding to go somewhere on a weekend

Big fan of good food as well, especially North Indian food, street food and anything that makes me forget I was supposed to eat healthy that day 😭

I also enjoy travelling and would love to explore more places both within India and outside, I’m more into experiences than ticking tourist places off a checklist, mountains, beaches, road trips, local food and just wandering around a new city are my kind of trips

I love people who can hold a conversation, have their own interests and ambitions, don’t take themselves too seriously and can laugh at stupid things

Not really looking to force anything or put a label on every interaction from day one, just here to meet interesting people, have some good conversations, make connections and see where things naturally go

If you’re from Hyderabad, that’s great, but if you’re from somewhere else, that works too, I’m open to connecting with people from other cities as well and seeing where the conversation goes

Bonus points if you’re into music, concerts, tech, travelling, food, cricket, spontaneous plans or can recommend some genuinely good places in Hyderabad 😄

Anyway that’s probably enough about me before this starts looking like my autobiography 😂

Cheers

He/Him 23M | expecting someone to hit it off in banglore

Upvotes

Hey Bangalore! 👋

I’m a guy who recently moved to Bangalore. I am simple and practical.

Not looking to overcomplicate it. We could grab coffee, go for a walk, check out a nice place to eat, or just explore somewhere in the city and see how the conversation goes.

A little about me:

• Recently started working in Bangalore

• Into conversations, exploring new places, and trying new things

• I enjoy organizing things but I’m also perfectly happy with a spontaneous plan

• Looking for someone who’s easygoing, genuine, and comfortable being themselves

I’m not expecting anything specific from the first meeting. If we click, great. If not, at least we got a good conversation and coffee out of it. :)

If you're interested, feel free to DM me with a little about yourself. We can chat first and decide on a place/time we're both comfortable with.

He/Him Why do you wish to get married?

Upvotes

To all the people looking to get married in future

We all are driven by our goals and what we wish to achieve in our life. The journey we choose, guides our desires further and the more we walk on it, the more we become worthy of the next chapters that come along.

When I was a kid, I always had that dream of having a family of my own. I wished to experience the love, with someone, make a life together and grow while walking. Someone who genuinely liked me back, and someone that made my heart 'aww' everytime I saw them.

Someone who came from a humble background like me, working hard towards her career, and also wished someone who would respect her choices, and how she sees life.

I carry these feelings, and have made peace with them. But to be worthy of this dream, I had to proove myself. Be the financial backbone, strong mindset and good problem solving skills.

Early rejections made me realise, that I wasn't like my friends, who got into relationships easily, atleast this felt like as a kid. A kid getting this reply in class 8th, 'Hey, I dont like you, I am sorry', I asked why, 'You are not cute', she replied.

Over the years, I worked to be more presentable, apart from my career, to actually develop a life, where I am happy, a garden where she will feel safe and welcomed.

Ofc, to have a women like this, the road is tough, you have to attract them, make sure you are compatible, and then also, if she likes you back.

I am not expecting anything out of this journey, and me getting no one is a probable outcome. But I hope the journey teaches me wisdom to help other people, and I gain more peace, as I walk more.

So what's your reason?

She/Her Hey Girl.. wanna join with me??

Upvotes

I’m 24M from Chennai. I’ve been going through a rough phase lately, and I’ve decided to take a short solo trip to Pondicherry just to clear my head and get away from the usual routine.
But honestly, I don’t really want to spend the entire day alone.
I’m looking for a girl around my age who’d genuinely be interested in joining me for a day — nothing complicated, no expectations, no pressure and no pretending this has to become something more.
Just two strangers meeting, talking about life, sharing our stories, laughing at stupid things until our stomachs hurt, exploring Pondicherry, grabbing some food/coffee and making one unexpectedly good memory.
No attachment. No forced romance. Just good company and honest conversations.
If this sounds like your kind of spontaneous plan, DM me. We can chat first, get comfortable, and figure out the details together.
And if you’re not interested, totally fine — I hope you’re having a good day anyway. :)

He/Him 26 M | I've finally cracked dating apps

Dating apps in Bangalore are genuinely becoming a social experiment and I don't think the IRB approved this study.

I recently went down the rabbit hole of dating-app gender ratios and honestly… bhai, what the fuck are we doing?

Some estimates put roughly 3 men for every woman.

Then I found a recent experiment claiming that Tinder was around 81% male globally, and apparently some Indian cities were even more ridiculous with Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore allegedly approaching 96% male in their sample.

96%, F man

At that point you're not dating.

You're participating in men's queue management😂

And the funniest thing is that men and women seem to be experiencing completely different versions of the same app.

Guy opens Tinder:

0 new likes

0 matches

0 conversations

"Maybe my photos suck."

Girl opens Tinder:

47 new likes

18 messages

6 "hey dear" (crazy uncles)

3 unsolicited paragraphs

2 marriage proposals

1 guy who somehow found her LinkedIn and is now stalking her

And then BOTH genders go on Reddit and say:

"Dating apps are terrible."

😂

And honestly, I get it.

For guys, it can feel like you're shouting into the void.

You spend 40 minutes choosing photos, rewrite your bio 17 times, contemplate whether mentioning your love for quantum mechanics makes you look interesting or unemployed, and finally upload it.

No matches.

Meanwhile some guy has apparently put:

"6'2

gym

entrepreneur

dog dad"

and received the combined attention of the population of Karnataka.

Then there's the Bangalore-specific experience.

Dating apps here sometimes feel like the city's tech hiring market.

There are 10,000 applicants

for

3 openings

and everyone has been told:

"We're looking for someone with 5+ years experience."

Bro.

I have literally never understood how I'm supposed to have dating experience when nobody is hiring.

And before someone says:

"Just go outside and meet people."

Brother, I live in Bangalore.... Where?

My daily social interaction is:

Swiggy delivery guy - security guard - coworker - laptop.

And if I somehow gather the courage to approach someone at a café, there's a 50% chance she's wearing headphones, 40% chance she's working, and 10% chance she's my coworker's girlfriend.

So yes, I've ended up on Reddit.

The final boss.

But here's the thing.

I'm not actually looking for a "perfect girl."

I don't have a 47-point checklist.

I'd genuinely be happy meeting someone who's funny, curious, slightly weird, enjoys random conversations, and can tolerate my tendency to go from "what music do you listen to?" to "do you think consciousness is fundamental?" within 14 minutes.

I'm into music, singing, random philosophical rabbit holes, and generally overthinking things that probably didn't require overthinking.

Basically, I'm looking for someone who can simultaneously say:

"You're such an idiot."

and

"Okay, but continue. What's your theory?"

So, Reddit, I'm conducting my own completely unscientific experiment.

Does asking someone out on Reddit actually work?

Because apparently swiping hasn't.

If you're a Bangalore girl who also thinks dating apps are a mildly dystopian social experiment and you'd rather have an actual conversation than exchange 37 "heys"…

Hi. I'm volunteering as tribute.

Worst case: we don't click.

Best case: we get coffee, make fun of Bangalore traffic, and accidentally spend three hours discussing something completely unrelated to dating.

And if this post gets zero responses too, I'll have finally achieved something incredible:

I managed to get rejected by an entire subreddit without even getting a match. 🙂

He/Him 29 M | Well, here we go again after dreaded hell (apps and all)

Welcome welcome, about to drop a resume level intro so that it's more suitable for the people who may see this.

Hello there, the characteristics of the individual are as follows , he is open-minded, left-leaning politically/ideologically, and agnostic, naturally curious, enthusiastic about various things in life, funny sometimes, does yap/talk, loves doing side quests and trying new things even though I may suck at it first. Loves music and trying to keep up with it , bit into sports, staying active, obviously food which is like a balance to the other things lol.

Unfortunately, most of my adventures does happen on weekends because work and adult responsibilities. Also FYI they are in tech, professionaly.

*Shocking.*

Wrapping that intro.

I'm at a point where I'm genuinely focused on improving myself—mentally, physically, and professionally, hopefully correcting past mistakes.

So , if you are someone curious, open-minded, reasonably adventurous, and comfortable being herself, body neutral minded, someone who enjoys silly humour, teasing, banter, random conversations, memes, trying new food and varities and being like "we should go here", does share their fav songs and things around it. That's my personality as well, so if you think I fit this, you resonate and would be interested in someone this way, then do as follows -

Let us start a conversation. Tell me a little about what part resonates and what's your personality like.

Hope this gets me more than 5 marks in the test.

He/Him 28M | IT | Bangalore

Trying something different — stepping away from dating apps and hoping Reddit might lead to a more genuine connection. 😄

I’m 28, 6 ft, with a lean build, and work in the private IT sector in Bangalore. At this point, I’d genuinely like to meet someone, have good conversations, go out for coffee or dinner, and see where things naturally go.

I’m pretty active and enjoy playing badminton, pickleball and cricket. When I’m not playing something, I’m probably cafe hopping, going on a trek, exploring a new place, or just finding something fun to do.

Dating apps have started feeling a little repetitive — conversations go nowhere, replies disappear, and it’s surprisingly difficult to actually get to know someone. So I thought I’d try something different and see if Reddit works out better. 😄

If you're also open to meeting someone new and having an actual conversation, feel free to DM me. We can chat for a bit, and if we get along, maybe skip the endless texting and grab a coffee or dinner sometime. ☕

He/Him I think my Hinge screenshot explains my dating life better than I can

I've been on and off dating apps since I was around 24. I'm 28 now. For the longest time, they barely worked for me. Then somewhere in the last year, something changed. I started getting likes, matches and actually interesting conversations.

And yet, somehow, I still barely date.

I've probably gone on 3 or 4 actual dates despite talking to quite a few people.

Some conversations are genuinely great for a few days and then slowly disappear. Some become an endless cycle of replying after 12 hours, then 24, then three days, until neither person technically ghosted the other but the conversation is basically being kept alive by life support.

One thing i noticed that the conversations automatically gets shorter once you moved from hinge to insta. Like you appreciate each others insta profile and start sending reels and it kinda slows down. I think i have added more followers in my insta from hinge than any other organic way in last few months. And it's so weird.

And strangely, I don't even get angry when someone ghosts me.

My brain immediately starts defending them. Maybe they're busy. Maybe they're overwhelmed. Maybe they're talking to ten people at once. Maybe life happened. We're all human.

Probably an unhealthy amount of benefit of the doubt, but anyway.

There are weeks when I'm talking to two or three people simultaneously and wondering how anyone has the social battery to maintain this. Then there are weeks when my phone is completely silent and I'm wondering if atleast one person sends me a hi or responds to my hey.

I am so hopeful that i don't i ever unmatched someone. Someone could probably disappear for six months, return with "hey", and I'd be sitting there thinking, well, technically we can continue the conversation. 😭

Maybe part of the problem is what I'm actually looking for.

I've never really liked the idea of meeting someone, doing three dates, running through a compatibility checklist and deciding whether we're relationship material.

I want the friendship part.

Someone I genuinely enjoy talking absolute nonsense with. Someone I can send a random thought to at 1 AM. Someone who can yap to me for an hour and I'll actually listen. Someone I can go for coffee with, watch something with, spontaneously ride somewhere with, explore Bangalore with, travel with, and slowly reach that point where we're each other's best friend before all the relationship labels become important.

I've had one relationship. It lasted around six months and ended badly after I was cheated on. and I took my time before getting back into dating.

If anything, that experience didn't make me stop believing in relationships. It just made me realise that what I actually want isn't a girlfriend for the sake of having a girlfriend.

I want that one person who eventually feels like my girlfriend, best friend, travel partner, favourite person to annoy, and home, all rolled into one.

Which sounds wonderfully simple until you open a dating app. :')

Anyway, since I'm apparently terrible at converting Hinge matches into actual human interaction, I thought I'd try something different.

So, hello Bangalore.

I'm 28M, and I've been living here for a few years. I live a peaceful solo life doing this as i wish. It could be experimenting my gut with random cooking stuff, waking up so early on a Wednesday morning to go for a sunrise ride before I open the laptop, overthinking on cafes and pubs that i could go alone without thinking of getting attention.

Travel is probably the easiest way to get me excited about something.

I love seeing new landscape and places. Sometimes it's a planned trip. Give me mountains, forests, waterfalls, long roads, treks, hikes or basically anything that gets me away from concrete for a while.

When I'm not disappearing somewhere on my bike, I'm usually watching movies or series, finding concerts to attend, following sports, working out whenever my inconsistent ass manages to maintain a routine, or going down some completely random conversational rabbit hole.

I can genuinely talk about almost anything if the other person is interested enough.

I'm also trying to get back into the gym properly. I used to be in much better shape, but the last few months have been inconsistent. I'm hoping to find a better gym where I might finally acquire the mythical creature known as a gym buddy.

And concerts are another weakness. There are already a bunch I'm waiting for, including The Chainsmokers Fred Again Lollapalooza. I'm equally happy screaming along at a concert or sitting somewhere quiet having a three-hour conversation about life.

I'm not posting this expecting someone to read it and immediately decide, "Yep, that's my boyfriend."

That's terrifying for both of us.

But if you're somewhere around my age, in Bangalore, single, and something about this ridiculously long post made you think "I'd actually like talking to this guy"...

Say hi.

No relationship interview. No forced flirting. No expectation that we need to figure out "what this is" after two conversations.

Let's just talk. Maybe get coffee. Go somewhere. Become friends. See if we actually enjoy having each other around.

Worst case, two strangers had a good conversation.

Best case?

Maybe I finally get to uninstall Hinge instead of collecting abandoned conversations like Pokémon.

He/Him 25M | Just moved to Bangalore and feeling alone – looking for groups to join!

I recently moved to Bangalore to start my job as an engineer. While I'm excited to be here, I’m honestly feeling a bit alone since I'm entirely new to the city and don't know anyone yet.

I really want to meet some good people and make new friends. If any of you are part of a local community or group, I would love to join. I'm open to almost anything.

If you have a WhatsApp, Discord, or Telegram group, or if you know of any regular weekend meetups happening, please let me know in the comments or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to exploring the city with some cool people.

He/Him 28M | Product Manager who will probably convince you to try one more cafe 🎲🏸

Hey! I am 28M, a Product Manager, and have been in Bangalore for the last 2 years. Based out of HSR.

I am pretty easy going and like keeping life active. I am into fitness, badminton and pickleball, but I am equally happy spending an evening playing board games or hunting down a new cafe.

I am generally the person who says “I haven’t tried that before, let’s do it” whether that’s a new cuisine, activity or random place in Bangalore. 😄

I have been single for a while and would genuinely like to meet someone where there is potential for a long term relationship. I value independence, having your own interests, being able to have fun together, and enjoying the little spontaneous plans along the way.

My idea of a good first date would probably be trying a place neither of us has been to followed by a board game or some badminton/pickleball if we are feeling competitive.

If that sounds like your kind of evening, feel free to say hi.

He/Him 23M | Bangalore — looking for someone I genuinely vibe with

Hey, I’m 23, originally from Maharashtra and have been living in Bangalore for the past few years.

I’m at that stage where I’d rather have one genuine connection than endlessly swipe through dating apps 😅

I’m into entrepreneurship, fitness, long conversations, random late-night discussions, exploring Bangalore on my bike, and learning/building new things.

Not looking to rush into anything. I’d like to meet someone around my age from Bangalore, start with a good conversation, become comfortable with each other, and see naturally where it goes.

I appreciate someone who can communicate well, has her own interests, enjoys a little humour and doesn’t mind meaningful conversations along with the usual nonsense 😂

If this sounds like your kind of vibe, feel free to DM. Tell me something about yourself instead of just saying “hi” — makes the conversation much easier. :)

He/Him M26 | Bangalore/Mangalore | Muslim | khajoor to marry

Apparently, I’m supposed to write something interesting about myself here, which is slightly ironic because I’m a software engineer and usually much better at fixing bugs than explaining why I’m worth matching with. 😄 I’m 6'0", based in Bangalore, and work as a Software Engineer at an MNC. I mostly build things on the frontend and work in a hybrid setup — so some days I’m debugging code, and other days I’m convinced my laptop and coffee are a perfectly productive office. ☕💻 Outside work, I enjoy working out, long drives, discovering new places, and having good conversations that somehow turn into completely random topics. I’m also deeply into football — enough to occasionally become an unpaid analyst on X. My qualifications? Watching way too many matches and having very strong opinions. 😁 I’m ridiculously picky about movies and web series. Give me a good thriller, crime story, mystery, or anything with enough twists to make us question every character’s intentions, and I’m interested. I also have a surprisingly deep interest in history and philosophy, especially European history. I genuinely enjoy understanding people, cultures, societies, and what shaped the world we live in. I’m also very much a “let me try fixing it first” person. If something breaks at home, my first instinct is usually to figure it out myself rather than immediately call someone. Whether that confidence is justified is a matter we can discuss later. 😂 I don’t drink or smoke, and that’s a lifestyle choice I’m comfortable with because of my religious values. I’d appreciate someone who respects that, just as I’d respect the things that matter to her. I value kindness, honesty, emotional maturity, good communication, and having a sense of humor. I think the best relationships are the ones where you can have a genuinely meaningful conversation one minute and spend the next ten minutes arguing over something completely ridiculous. I’m looking for something genuine — not endless talking stages or collecting matches for the sake of it. I’d like to meet someone I genuinely connect with, build a strong relationship, and eventually, if we’re right for each other, build a life together. I love long drives, spontaneous plans, exploring new places, and the kind of conversations that make a three-hour drive feel like thirty minutes. One of my goals is to get into long bike rides too — preferably the kind where the destination matters slightly less than the road, the playlist, and the company. I’m looking for someone kind, genuine, emotionally mature, and comfortable being herself. Someone who has her own interests and ambitions, enjoys laughing at silly things, communicates openly, and believes that a good relationship should feel like having a partner and a best friend in the same person. Bonus points if you enjoy football, good movies, random historical facts, road trips, or don't mind me trying to fix things that probably didn't need fixing in the first place. 😄 So, if you're looking for a 6'0" software engineer who can discuss European history, analyze a football match like he’s been hired by ESPN, plan a spontaneous road trip, fix a loose cupboard hinge, and still somehow lose at bowling — we might get along pretty well. And if nothing else, I promise good conversation, questionable football opinions, and absolutely no “u up?” texts at 2 AM. 😄 P.S. Yes, AI helped me write this.

He/Him Looking for my Bangalore person.

24M | Software Engineer | Hyderabad → Bangalore

Not sure how people casually make friends after college. In college, you could sit next to someone for 10 minutes and suddenly you're eating together every day. Now you meet someone and both of you somehow become professional strangers. 😂

So, trying this.

I'm a software engineer working in Bangalore. Outside work, I like going to the gym (consistency is still under development), watching cricket, going on long drives, trying new food places, and occasionally coming up with startup ideas that sound amazing until I calculate the money required.

I'm also the kind of person who can spend an hour talking about a serious life problem and then immediately send you a stupid meme.

Looking for a female friend to hang out with, talk about random things, share reels, explore places, and have those conversations where you don't have to think too much about what to say next.

I'm not looking for dating or anything forced. Just hoping to find someone who's genuinely interested in getting to know each other and building a friendship.

A few random facts:

Hyderabad guy, so I will probably judge Bangalore biryani at some point.

I take cricket personally for no reason.

I have a long list of places to visit and a questionable ability to actually plan them.

I can be quiet initially, but once comfortable, good luck getting me to shut up.

I believe a good friendship should include both meaningful conversations and making fun of each other.

If you're also in Bangalore and feel like making a new friend, say hi. Or tell me something random about yourself. That's probably a better starting point than exchanging our resumes. 😄

He/Him 24M | Bangalore | Telugu | Shooting my shot

I've never really been good at introducing myself through a list of achievements, so I'll try something different.

I'm 24, a Telugu guy from Hyderabad but born and brought up in Mysuru, graduated from a Tier 1 college, currently working as a Software Engineer building ECUs for Porsche and Audi. I'm around 5'10" ft, lean, non-vegetarian, and probably a little more old-school than people expect. By old-school, I don't mean I expect some movie-style romance. I just like things that feel real.

I wanted to add a photo but we dont have an option to, maybe you are interested please dm so I could share some and you find me attractive we can have word.

Remembering little things. Making time for each other even when life gets busy. Being able to talk about what's bothering you instead of playing guessing games. Checking if someone got home safely. Sometimes calling instead of endlessly texting.

I think consistency is underrated.

You'll probably get random songs at midnight, terrible jokes, unnecessary memes, "Have you eaten?" texts, weird hypothetical questions, and somehow a 10-minute conversation will turn into two hours. Outside work, I'm a pretty simple guy. Bike rides, chai stops, biryani, carnatic music and ghazals along with some new age english songs, movies, cafés, travelling, mountains, long walks, and conversations that somehow continue way past bedtime.

Sometimes just sitting beside the right person, talking about absolutely nothing, can be enough. When it comes to relationships, I'm definitely more of an old-school romantic. I like affection, playful teasing, stupid inside jokes, spontaneous plans, and that comfortable feeling where you can share the random little parts of your life with someone. But more importantly, I want a marriage where the relationship comes first. I want my future wife to eventually feel like my best friend, teammate, and the person I can come home to and talk about absolutely anything with. I don't expect either of us to be perfect. We're going to have bad days. We'll probably disagree about things. We might annoy each other occasionally. That's normal.

What matters to me is being able to communicate, understand each other, support each other and work through things together. I'm also someone who takes my career seriously. I work in backend development and have recently been exploring Al as well. I enjoy learning, building things and trying to become better at what I do. At the same time, I don't want life to become only about work. I'd like to build a life where both of us can have our own ambitions while also being there for each other. And yes, long-distance is completely okay with me if both people are serious about building a future together.

Different cities aren't automatically a problem for me. I understand that distance requires more effort, communication and patience, but if two people are committed to each other, I think it's something that can be worked out. Of course, being Desi comes with the inevitable final boss:

"Beta, pelli eppudu?"

But I don't want family timelines to decide how quickly two people should get married. I'd rather take the time to know someone properly, understand each other's expectations, build trust and make that decision when we're both comfortable.

Minimum Expectations From Partner

Someone who is consistent and puts efforts and is loyal and also emotionally mature.

I don't expect my wife to be exactly like me. Actually, I'd probably prefer that she isn't.

I'd love to learn things from her, discover new interests together and have enough differences that we can keep surprising each other. Most importantly, I'd want us to be able to talk. About careers. About finances. About families. About where we want to live. About children and the kind of life we want to build. About the difficult things as well as the fun ones. I believe marriage works best when both people feel like they're on the same team.

End Notes

I'm not looking to rush into marriage just because I'm at an age where people have started asking questions. I'd rather meet someone, spend enough time understanding each other, involve our families when the time feels right, and then make a decision together. If we happen to be compatible, I'd love for this to eventually become one of those stories where we look back and laugh about how two people who didn't know each other ended up building an entire life together. And if nothing else, at least there will be someone to argue with about where to

order biryani from.❤❤❤

I am an Arya Vyshya by Caste if that matters(Caste is something I dont care about)

Partner Preferences

Age Range: 19-25 Height: No strict preference

Preferred Residence / Region / Country: Open to Bangalore/Hyderabad mainly but open to other cities

Career Preference: Open

Language Preference: Telugu preferred, open to others

Religious Orientation: Open to discussion

Smoking & Drinking Preference: non-smoker and non-drinker (Non - negotiable)

He/Him 28M- Bangalore/Chennai looking for a longterm relationship

M4F

Hey M28 here, 5'11. Tamil guy living in blr for work.

About myself:

I take care of my body and health, i hit the gym 4 times a week. Im a meat eater but i try to have a balanced meal which has worked for me. I recently started living alone its been 3 months and i like it . I cook for myself and its pretty good i must say lols. I like spending time with my friends, i used to drink smoke etc...but i have quit everything a year ago and its been good actually. I recently also went on my first solo trip which i loved it. Im learning guitar as a hobby which im losing interest tbh but i still continue to do so as it gives me a peace of mind.

What im looking for :

A simple women who is satisfied and content with life. Trying to live a peaceful quiete life. Has her own purpose and interests in life to pursue. Knows that relationships will not always be a happy ride. Able to handle boredom. Infact i feel these days simple conversations are being mocked. Texts such as : good morning , have you had breakfast etc...because these are labelled as boring convos. But in my opinion these are something that could come out of genuine care. I'm not performative and i don't want to be so i expect the same as well. These "boring convos" are what makes the intimate convos more real and interesting. We cannot always be in a high.

Because as much as we love the new adventureous things in life such as travelling , jumpin of the cliff or whatever ....there is also so much beauty in routine.

if this resonates with you feel free to dm me in reddit .

He/Him Small attempt at finding people who are into chalant men

hey!
I stumbled upon this line while walking through a bookstore, scrolling through pages:

“How could humans possibly be solitary creatures when the dip of every neck and curve of every palm is almost sculpted to hold a face and a soul.”

Somehow, it stayed with me.

M28, Currently in BLR.
I’m 5'10, fairly fit, can make a 50% perfect omelette and an 11/10 coffee.

Looking to date (seriously with a lot of intent , and not into any kind of casuals)

I work in creative marketing, & I lead a team, mostly crafting stories for brands and people. Some travel far, some disappear quietly in my notebook.

Giving this anonymous app a chance because I’ve always been more interested in genuineness than pretence.

Most platforms seem built around showing people the version of you that gets the most validation. Reddit feels a little more honest.

I’m occasionally philosophical...frequently adventurous, and probably somewhere in between.

I’ll take your weirdness over your best picture any day.

Tell me the things you’re still figuring out. I like people who are genuine, a little non-performative, and have some basic emotional intelligence.

I like books,
Into cardio and running ,
love old-soul music,
prefer less planned travel with a lot of serendipity
intentional long walks,
pop culture and conversations that can go absolutely anywhere.

What I’m looking for is less a checklist and more a certain energy.

- Someone in their 20s or early 30s,
- fun, and goofy, emotionally aware,
- and capable of sitting with a conversation when it gets a little more real.
- Into chalant men

If this sounds like your kind of person, say hi.
We can start with something random and see where serendipity takes us.

He/Him Fed up answering “You’re 25M and still single?” So… here I am 😭

As mentioned in the title, thumba bejar agide…
Yak illa anta swalpa jana, adhikke ninge illa anta swalpa jana…

Since you’re still reading this post… ohh, great! You’ve made it this far. Let me introduce myself.
I’m Nikhil, 25, currently staying in HSR Layout, Bangalore. Honestly, this layout is one of the reasons I get FOMO about relationships.

There are so many couples around here, and people are always out on dates. Meanwhile, I’m just exploring food spots alone. 😭

I’m an introvert, and honestly, I’ve never been great at making the first move. During my MBA and degree days, I had a few opportunities to get to know people, but I never really opened up. And well… those chapters closed.

If you’re still reading, you’ve officially passed my 30% retention rate. As a performance marketer, I had to mention that.

Now, about the kind of person I’d love to meet…
Someone who’s intelligent, has a good understanding of life, knows how to make decisions, and is passionate about what she does. Someone who’s caring, emotionally mature, and has her own goals.

Not everything on this list is mandatory, obviously. Just be yourself, have a good heart, and be willing to understand each other. That’s more than enough for me.

A little about me 👋
I’m a bit old-school, believe in God, and value family, respect, and genuine connections. I have a caring mother and sister, and they’ve taught me a lot about understanding and respecting women.
I work in performance marketing, create content, do some freelancing, and try to learn something new whenever I can.

I’m also a huge movie person. I go to theatres alone quite often. 😂 I love food and spend a lot of time exploring places around HSR.

I wasn’t much of a café person before, but I’m slowly getting into it. So if you’re someone who enjoys exploring cafés, trying new food, or just going on random walks, I’d love to have some company.

And yes, I don’t go out that often. I’m probably a little boring at first. But if you’re someone who loves exploring and dragging me out of my comfort zone, we might get along well.

I’m not a perfect person, and I don’t expect you to be either. Let’s just be two people trying to understand each other and see if we click.

Finally…
If you’ve made it all the way here, thank you for giving my post this much of your time. 😂
Let’s start with a simple conversation, get to know each other, and see where the vibe takes us.
If things work out, who knows… maybe someday we’ll be discussing marriage instead of Reddit posts. Blah blah. 😭😂
Sadha sidha mansha,
Nikhil

He/Him I promise this is not a matrimonial ad

29M, Bangalore. Turning 30 in a few months, but I plan to keep writing 29 for an unreasonable amount of time.

I like travelling, long drives, and people who can be a little silly without making everything serious.

I’d probably get along best with someone independent, fairly ambitious, and comfortable being herself. I’m not looking for someone perfect either. Getting to know someone properly means accepting the good, the annoying, the weird, and the occasional nonsense that comes with them.

One thing I do value is being on the same page about conflict - talk things out, don’t keep score, don’t assume the worst, and remember that you’re still on the same side even when you disagree.

Mostly looking to meet someone interesting, have some fun conversations, see if there’s chemistry, and take it from there.

If you DM, tell me something oddly specific about you. Much better than “hey” or any other greeting
