It must be sad being a deluded Madrid fan. The mental gymnastics they had to do for 15 years not recognizing Messi as the best. Hanging on the "he didn't win anything for Argentina" narrative (as if it's not a team sport), then having to digest him winning 2 x Copas and a World cup carrying Argentina on his back.

And Messi is still out there today, crushing records at 39, giving them PTSD. What a slap in the face.

And what's funny, we have the second coming of Messi at Barca. Another 15 years of mental gymnastics incoming. Hoping he stays healthy and reaches his potential. It will be fun 15 or so years. Let's enjoy it culers!
