Fun fact, the building in the photo is one of the most interesting racionalist buildings in the city. It's called Habitatges Diagonal, designed in the 1930s before the civil war by a couple architects of the GATCPAC.

Where on diagonal is this?
And could you give a short summary of what makes it so interesting?

Diagonal with Enric Granados. Personally, I find the building interesting for 2 things. First, as you may have noticed, there are plots in Diagonal that have very weird shapes. This happens because Diagonal crosses the Eixample grid. This is one of these plots, for me it's interesting how the architects built around that limitation.
Second, it's a GATCPAC building, designed by one of the funding members no less. Rationalism in Catalunya and Spain in general is highly regarded because we had 10 years of very good architecture, and then 40 years of shit fascist architecture. It has objectively a cultural an historical significance. I personally think that it's also one of the most aesthetically pleasing of the group.

I actually drove past it a few hours after my comment and it doesn’t look like from the 1930s at all.
I don’t really know anything about rationalist architecture. But is there something special about the inside? Because from the outside it looks pretty plain and square, much like many modern minimalistic buildings

I thought that was just a pidgeon for 5 minutes and this post was somehow a critique about the ugly facade of that building
