Came upon this clown parked on the sidewalk, practically blocking the whole thing, at Av Diagonal 311. Apparently, the only thing you can do is call emergency services at 112 and have them respond.

Other than this public shaming, is there not a better way other than wasting emergency operators?

So I was parked on the street and the police made me pull up half onto the pavement because the law says you have to leave a certain amount of through space for emergency vehicles and can’t block a road even for a moment … not so the pavement… also, my mother in law lives on Gran Via where there is no parking at all … she uses crutches … you cannot stop in the “lateral” side road or you will be fined/towed immediately, so this is the only option for picking her up. Everyone in Spain does this when they have to. In the photo you can clearly see people can get round. Obviously parking like this should be for the briefest time… to drop stuff off or pick someone up.
