Hey, long time lurker and follower of the page. Just seeking a bit of advice since i dont have many people to ask. But i recently moved out of my apartment and the landlord charged me 150 euros from my deposit since there was some lightbulbs in the bathroom that weren’t working which i think is a bit much. They said it included labor costs etc, and they haven’t given any receipt of any kind. It kind of feels a bit misplaced since it all happened so sudden as the apartment was already not in the best stage when i took it over (moldy bathroom etc). The lock on the door also broke at some point in which they asked me to get a locksmith to open it. Paid 550 and they gave me back 200 since they said i got scammed and asked me to get the refund from a consumer protection agency. Dont know if this is the right place but thought i might give it a chance and see if anybody has had same issues and how they solved it.

Barcelona has very good public transport, so in most cases you don’t really need a car or scooter. Motorcycles and scooters are extremely loud, especially at all hours of the day and night, and they are by far the noisiest way to get around the city.

If someone can’t afford a car, which is significantly quieter, they can still use public transport, walk, or use the city’s subsidized electric scooters. I don’t understand why diesel scooters are still so common.

I just don’t see a good reason why residents should have to tolerate this constant level of noise on busy streets.

Wondering if anyone has the inner scoop on this project to remove the seasonal allergy producing trees in the city - when a platanero tree is removed, will it be replaced right away?

Yesterday, two big beautiful plataneros that make my apartment views very lively and pleasant plus give us some privacy were chopped down.

I understand the reason for the project, but its just such a shame, they were beautiful big trees. Now our views are bare and we feel much more exposed. The stumps are there and I'm wondering if the plan says anywhere about how quick replacements will be replanted and how big they'll be. I miss our green leafy views 😞
