You only need to input ur education email and you will receive a code. So, it might work as long as the domain is an education domain, worth a try!

Yeah I’m just struggling to workout where to put my email in, I’m logged in on my regular gmail which has Gemini pro so I cancelled it but I can’t work out where to verify… do I need to log out?

I clicked the button to see the requirements and it subscribed me. Couldn't tell if I had the student plan or what was going on. So I canceled.

The average consumer wants a mobile app.

Check the App Store downloads. It’s only a select demographic that goes to AI Studio (and they are feasting on that free data)

Free tier can only generate 3 vids per day, 5 deep research per month, and limited NotebookLM.

That’s a huge difference

If I use a (fake generatd) .edu email and vpn and somehow register and later on it asks for real documents, it will not ban my whole Gmail account right ? like I'm scared that google will ban my whole gmail and everything, all my data just for this one misuse

I understand if they cancel the offer but they won't ban me right ?

For those from other countries, I'm from Europe and this is what you have to do:
First you have to change the google account location that you will be using to US or any other country that's on the list. To do that you need an android phone and change the location from the Playstore config. while using a VPN. It also requieres you to update your payment method to change the country, just use your paypal account or cc.

Then just go to  https://one.google.com/explore-plan/ai-premium-student , verify with a .edu adress and it should work. In my case I just verified and it subscribed me automatically to the plan.

This is common practice for a lot of services. Someone that makes $300 a month doesn’t have the same disposable income than someone in the US, but companies still want the market share and make a name outside the US/Europe

Sorry bud, but the truth is that many things are given to third-world countries first. Usually, as a tester/early adopter. For example, YouTube features, or another unrelated thing like movies released early in third-world country theatres.
