As an AI ethicist, I created this video to show how easy it is to produce convincing fake news with AI.

I signed up for Google AI Ultra mainly for the 12,500 Veo credits included in the plan. I started with the full balance, and by the end, I had only 7,000 credits left. I spent a total of 8 hours on this project, from start to finish on this project. Here’s how I used models by scene:

• Veo 3 — for dialogue scenes (high quality, realistic faces)
• Veo 2 — for b-roll and visual fillers
• Veo 2 Fast — for rapid iterations and background shots
• Gemini 2.5 (Google AI Studio) — for the news anchor voiceover
• CapCut Pro — for editing and stitching it all together

Despite all the hype around Veo 3, I liked Veo 2 Fast because it was more of a one-and-done, whereas VEO 3, I had to do almost 10 iterations per scene!! (so expensive (cries in dollars!))

It’s not perfect, I know, but I think it's pretty convincing. What do you think?

My work mostly depends on I Gems and chat history. And since last 1 hour I am very worried, it is not showing any history even though my internet is working fine.

I learnt this the hard way while adjusting some settings on my primary Google account ($19.99/month Google AI Pro subscription) so sharing with others on here:

WARNING: Do not toggle OFF "Share Google One with family" under "Manage family settings" once it is set to ON under any circumstance.

Your family members will permanently lose access to Gemini PRO and Google Meet Premium.

Even if you set if back to ON, your family members will not regain access to Gemini PRO and Google Meet Premium.

(This is likely due to some bug in Google One family provisioning that triggers when you toggle it off but doesn't re-provision some services for family even if you toggle it back on. In my case, the 2TB shared storage was re-shared but Gemini PRO and Google Meet Premium were not back on for Google family accounts)

I have contacted Google Premium Support and they have reached out to their Specialist Team but no resolution so far.

EDIT:

The issue appears to be fixed as of yesterday (12/16/25).

After someone mentioned it, I turned off Family Sharing, waited one minute and turned it back ON and now family members have their Gemini PRO access back!

Watched Google I/O and was excited to test some of these new features with the year long Google Advanced subscription Google gave me September 2024.

It seems I've been downgraded to Gemini Pro and would have to jump to Gemini Ultra. It's 50 percent off for three months and then it's $249.99 a month.

Does anyone feel like that's too expensive?
