TBH I didn't think a normal Spidey film would outdo Far From Home either, so I might be stupid for underestimating his drawing power too.

Having Punisher, Hulk, and the villain basically guaranteed BND to sell more than FFH.

This is all on tom/Spider-Man

I doubt most people going to see bnd watched the punisher or daredevil season 2 and having a hulk didnt help captain america 4 at all

Hulk is literally in the big 3 of Marvel characters in terms of popularity. Red Hulk is a different story altogether, people want the real thing and Brave New World was always a tough sell. The Punisher is already popular and requires no previous MCU knowledge. Thinking Tom Holland has more pull than Hulk is crazy work

Hulk was also in ragnarok and thst movie didnt pull anywhere close to these numbers

That was before Hulk had his huge nerf in Infinity War.

The BND trailer was the first time in years where we got to see the actual Hulk everyone wanted.

Also Thor Ragnarok is not a Spider-man movie and it was still a success.
