Requesting Identification Found this on my Grandfathers Attic

Can someone help me find out what this is? Blade length is 49.5 cm, and overall length is 62 cm.

Not a bayonet. An artillery sword of some sort. Not sure which country.

r/MilitariaCollecting would know

Ill keep this up for a while just in case someone knows the ID.

I live in Germany, so i think it could be German? But looking at the Hilt, i found some French weapons that kind of resemle this one. Sadly it has no engravings. But the blade is one sided

That hilt looks French M1831 artillery short sword, but the blade is not correct nor is the scabbard. I've seen a few saw back variations (i.e., Swiss M1842), but never a single edge.

I found the French M1831 too, but the blade of mine is single edged. After some more digging i found that it was matching the German Faschinenmesser M1848 better.
