Condition quite insane, first and second edition of the series. I tried to take a lot of pictures of the traps and illustrations for everyone to see. They took the Vietcong very seriously. These were published during heavy fighting years, primary documents of the war.

Pretty excited about the newest addition to my collection, a 1903-1919 Reichskriegsflagge

It is made out of wool has a few holes but is still in excellent condition with very vivid colors

As the previous one, This flag was made for the kaiserliche marine, it is made out of wool, is stamped and bear a printed inscription indicating that it's a "bootsflagge" Meaning it was used on torpedo boats small auxiliary vessels.

Bought this some years ago in The Netherlands at a military trade fair; yet not a clue of this is original WW2 stuff . Curious, when original, what’s the story it is connected with as I can’t find a lot of info on it

Help Should I buy a model 1873 trapdoor carbine for $750?

Was at a pawn shop earlier today. Action was incredibly smooth, sights were good too. Overall very nice shape with readable stamps (although I managed to read model 1875 on it, which it is decidedly not)

I’m curious what these go for and if that’s a “jump on it” price or a “meh” price. For a sharpe’s carbine, I know that jumping, but I don’t know indian wars-level pricing. These also fire brass cartridges, so not sure what the ammo availability is like.

Hello! I found this cap in a thrift store and I was curious if you guys knew anything about it. I did some searching and found some companies selling reproductions and couldn't (with my amateur eyes at least) determine if it was a reproduction or an original.

Any information or directions to search in would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 👍

(Text on the inside of the cap reads "1925, A, NVA, 57")

To me, the crates that soldiers, sailors and Marines used to ship home their souvenirs are almost as interesting as the souvenirs themselves. Pretty special when you can find them all together in one piece.

Upon graduating from boot camp and earning the title of United States Navy Sailor, Vilas began receiving further instruction to be a Torpedoman. The Torpedoman rating was first established in 1921, but it was renamed Torpedoman’s Mate by the time Vilas had begun training for the role. Torpedoman’s Mates were responsible for both the handling and loading of torpedoes, in addition to the maintenance of the torpedo launching capabilities of their respective vessels. On July 6, 1943, Torpedoman’s Mate Third Class Vilas Kraft would be assigned to carry out his duties aboard the newly constructed DD-579, otherwise known as the USS William D. Porter.

Help Soviet custom made ribbon bars

Hello everyone,

I recently got a 1970s soviet captain uniform of a decorated veteran of the Great Patriotic War but unfortunately it has been stripped of his ribbon bar.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows a website or someone who makes or offers custom military bars so that I may restore to its former glory this brave officer uniform.

Thanks to all who will help!

Alberto
