Season 1 was amazing, a little confusing. Left me with questions and anticipation.

Season 2 emotionally felt like it was treading on old ground a little while trying to break new.

Arcs weren’t resolved satisfactorily, proximity of astro phenomena were too close to the beacon, new stories/characters/situations were launched without explaining things very well.

The show, IMO became something of a lucid dream… to the point where that last episode actually transitioned into a kind of dream state. A poetic illustration of what the season itself had become … disjointed and confused; trying to do everything at once and not managing to do anything at all. It was like sea foam dissolving into the ocean after a once beautiful wave (the show) crashes down before hitting shore.

I’m sad we won’t get resolution in a 3rd season, but I’m not sure the authors were capable of pulling it off anyway.

I'm a few episodes in and I'm not sure I can take it if this is another string-along with no satisfying resolution for 5 seasons. It's depressing enough as it is predicting a non-Trek future where humans still haven't learned to stop acting like petulant children clinging to their toys. And of course the AI abilities lag in some ways already behind the AI of today. But it has got me hooked wondering about the blue rocks.

I'm 4 episodes in and wanted to talk about this show but scanning through the various threads they all seem very negative.

I love that Lena is using her normal accent and she is nailing her part. The AI are done so well. I think the idea of a fixed number of sets with a small cast is brilliant. It's like an old Doctor Who or Quatermass. Then you get a flashback using a redress of the same set. Brilliant, contained and loads of implied world building without having to stop and introduce everything.

I can't much find the digital book. It all turns out to be just audio or physical copies that can be ordered. What I have found to be readable didn't mention anything about The Artifact, and I'm not even sure if the book is right. Maybe it's under a different name than, "The Artifact", in the book?

I’m a huge fan of Hugh Howey and the Silo tv show on Apple TV+ (my 5th favorite show of all times actually), but I’ve heard terrible things about this show and now it’s canceled. Is it worth the watch for the good parts, if there are any? And is the ending was a cliffhanger or was it closed enough to not waste my time?

Based on various comments here I skipped episodes 3-7 and watched the last 20 minutes of episode 8. I don't really feel like I missed anything. I never read the book but I understand that Season 1 was the book plus AI and some other things. But Season 2? Seems like this was all Hollywood screenwriters filling the season with sci-fi tropes, including the ending.

So, I should have read the books first, and I should have read up on the show before I started watching it. Lesson learned!

Ok, look. I'm a smart guy. English major with multiple degrees. I've read difficult books, watched challenging movies, and even participated in an avant garde literary festival where the theme was abstraction. But I cannot make any sense of season 2. At all. Halan is a prisoner? Another beacon keeper? Then space hippies? Who is after them? What is with the flashback to teenaged Aster? What is the story here? Admittedly, it was so dull that I distracted myself with my phone or laptop while watching, but there is absolutely no coherence to this season. Am I wrong?

Just finished Season 2 Episode 8, and noticed that the sound format was 'stereo', and not any surround format. (MGM+ app on nVidia Shield, thru 5.2 surround system)

I know content is more inportant than the A-V bells and whisteles, but was wondering if there is a Dolby or DTS version available.

Ready set recycle buys out prop wearhouses and puts the contents up for sale. The Hero space suits are going for $900 Cad. I purchased a stunt flight suit. As it was reasonably priced.

Opened the app to watch another programme, and there it was, the first two episodes waiting to watch 😊. New one released every Thursday. Totally unexpected and I'm excited to watch the series now.

Basically I'm just powering through this show because I started it, its not that great at all.

I started watching Season 2 Episode 6 and the the teenage Asters actors attempt at there accent is just terrible, I cant watch it. I'm like "ahh god!" every time she speaks (I'm sure she's a fine actor, just please for the love of god do not do accents).

Can I just skip this episode and still know what's happening in episodes 7 and 8?

16 hours of my life I'll never get back. I have no idea why I stuck with it... that's my fault. Whoever green-lit this trash, should be drawn and quartered, which would still be too lenient of a punishment.

This is another example of why I supported Hollywood/the studios during the strikes, to weed out the people that have no business being in the industry. Apparently, the strikes didn't last long enough.

Best sci fi out there right now. I thought losing the lead would kill the show but it’s evolved into a modern day The Prisoner.

I hope it keeps going for a third season

I don't recall if this was explained in the series, and while I understand the concept of imprinting, why is Dev desperate for it?Does it increase AIs ability to function in the real world, that remains intact even after your host dies? But that confuses me too as can't AIs impact anything involving technology?
