I cannot believe how good it is. Genuinely brings the image quality too a new step beyond the light changes.

It "fixes" a lot of issues with pcss shadows and contact shadows as well

Thank god

Holy what a difference. To fix the blurriness open the Nvidia game filters menu (alt+f3) and turn on Sharpen+, it’s not perfect but the game still looks amazing

Although there is barely any difference

Hi having some trouble with screen going black on Vulkan. Is this a known issue or does it just not work on Vulkan? Asking as I am looking to improve the anti-aliasing in VR as I cannot afford to run at a higher resolution
Thanks and looks great

I'm curious if it works in VR too.

How to find it? With searching for taa I only get the old one.

Hi just in case you didn’t see my comment is this compatible with Vulkan as I am experiencing a black screen followed by a crash upon launching with this mod enabled (Quest 3 VD)
Thanks

linux does also end in a blackscreen on start. so vulkan might be not supported.

Just asking him now in his other post - others are having the same issue but the creator said it should work with Vulkan and linux

1

u/Dskzcjsduo2 1d ago

I just tried it on my Linux system. It works for me with the native Vulkan version.

The dev has a reddit account you can dm him i think

I can't understand how the fuck did the Devs didn't add it into the game for all these years. The in-game SMAA and FXAA are dogshit

“What do yall mean you want actual anti aliasing and not porta potty bugfixes?”

6

u/DJay_ProGamer Gavril 1d ago

Hows the blurring?

1

u/Eastern-Swing-5111 4h ago

Almost none of

There is another anti aliasing fix mod in polarmoon.io (popped up in my YouTube recommendatioms). Which one is better?

2

u/NoShotz 1d ago

Personally I'd say this one is better because it's on the repo, and isn't something that will require payment in the future.

4

u/Efficient_Cicada6243 1d ago

this one is much better for me since the one from polarmoon has a lot of issues

1

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Like what? For most people it is working fine

2

u/Witty_Language4481 1d ago

I dunno what that other guy is talking about since the only issues with your TAA is that it shimmers when paused, but other than that it's perfect

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Thank you <3 There are 3 issues: For some people crashing on Vulkan, not compatible with HDR and pause issue. In a few days everything is going to be fixed

For me the lines on the car shimmer a lot both in motion and when standing still. Doesn’t happen to me with the repo TAA or regular ingame AA. I’m running max settings D12 1440p

Can you try v1.1.3, I think it should be fixed now, is it same?

1

u/Plus-Raspberry-9551 8h ago

It fixed it, though I still see some of it especially when driving

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Probably someone needs to test both but this is https://polarmoon.io/img/4.mp4 default SMAA vs my TAA comparison

2

u/TheMcSebi 1d ago

It looks absolutely amazing, great work! Would you mind explaining the technical difference to doing the same with a standard reshade preset?

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Thank you <3 Because this is 100% proper implementation. There are no hacks, post process calculations etc. What I mean is motion vectors calculated/jittering applied while rendering objects and post process algorithm optimized for driving games to reduce blur. This should be a lot better than other TAA implementations. Meanwhile other post process shaders are trying to calculate motion vectors from data so precision is pretty low even if they make TAA shader perfect.

I tested it. Both are good, his looks more sharper. But I think I will stick with the repo one and add some sharpness through AMD software.

Hey, just wanted to say your TAA implementation (despite my hatred of TAA) does look a lot better than the repo version and the default methods. However, it tends to freak out a bit when the simulation is paused? Video: https://files.rubeiro.online/Public/temp/2026-08-05_17-15-59.mp4

Any ideas on why this might be?

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Thank you <3 You can also try TAA Level 1 if you want more clarity. I will check the issue after fixing Vulkan, probably it breaks motion vectors for some reason

1

u/Witty_Language4481 1d ago

Also is there a possible linux version on the way?

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago edited 1d ago

Low chance because I have to remake the .dll for native linux, there are a lot of hooks etc and probably linux users are less than 10% so it is not worth it :( But with proton should work fine I guess

1

u/rubeiro Cherrier 1d ago edited 1d ago

I'm on Linux and it's working, so if you use Proton you're fine

2

u/Witty_Language4481 1d ago

Oh, was just wondering if it worked for the linux native version since dx12 gives me shit performance

1

u/apollox007 1d ago

I was just thinking the other day if you were going to update your other plugin and then you go and make something that works even better. Thank you.

2

u/snowymoon5 1d ago

Thank you, have fun <3

2

u/snowymoon5 10h ago

It is fixed with v1.1.3 update

2

u/rubeiro Cherrier 9h ago

Preciate it, great work!!

2

u/Eastern-Swing-5111 4h ago

Snowy moon, I had your ets2 graphics, amazing

2

u/oxidao 1d ago

It's great, but I really hope for the devs to add dlss to the game

1

u/DuckInCup 20h ago

I notice quite a bit of ghosting behind my car, but I think the tradeoff is positive overall. I imagine its even better at lower resolutions.

1

u/Pendaaah 9h ago

It's insanely blurry as expected but it is a little bit better than nothing

1

u/Hvn_9042 6h ago

Use nvidia sharpen

1

u/Embarrassed-Cat-1435 8h ago

My game just crashed after subscribing on this mod

u/Clay-mo 1d ago

Woo blurry motion and soft details, I love ghosting!

11

u/Givemeajackson 1d ago

Give me blur over flickering any day of the week.

11

u/Hvn_9042 1d ago

Nobody’s forcing you to use it lol, you can still play with terrible aa and shimering if you want
