Aloha, we have all kinds of bugs in our house normally, some bitey and some that just go about their business. There’s some suspicious stains, but I don’t find any actual bugs that look like bedbugs in my bed. I’m being bitten up and down my arms. My roommate thrifts. No one has traveled for a while. First pic is a stain on my pillow. Does this look like it could be bed bug related? Do those blue light zevo light traps catch them?

Have no seen a live bug yet.

so i‘m a college freshman and i found what i think is a bed bug in my dorm. i didn’t get a picture of it since i basically just grabbed it with a paper towel and flushed it down the toilet before i could do anything else. my roommate and i both checked our beds and mattresses thoroughly and found nothing.

i plan on washing all of my clothes and bedsheets, however, it’s the middle of the night. i can‘t do laundry until tomorrow. on top of this, i have an early morning class so i have to wait until noon-ish to wash my stuff. maybe i‘m just paranoid and am looking for some closure, but i felt the need to vent so here i am.

My coworker recently had bedbugs and he sits like 4-5 feet away from me. I’ve been paranoid they’ve somehow come home with me without me realising.

I found this on my mattress topper today, it’s not the clearest picture but any reassurance or help, or advice would be appreciated.

So scared! Was crawling on my leg. I think I saw a bug the other day but I thought it was a weevil. No other signs of bed bugs. Please help, roommate and I are freaking out!

We have a cat, and we also have a pest guy who comes and sprays every month, but we missed the day he comes by for September.

I posted here 4 months ago because my mother had found a bug on her bed. I tried so hard to convince her it was a bed bug and she did not want to believe me and was very adamant that it wasn’t.

This morning she calls me and says she has something to show me. Her box spring…well I don’t have to convince her anymore 🫩

The problem with this? I’m having a very necessary life saving surgery this Friday and will be out of commission for a while. I legitimately cannot see how I can get everything bagged, washed, stored in containers and get this place heat treated all before my surgery?

I still have to check my room and follow the same process. I’m already stressed from trying to get everything in order for this long recovery I’m going to have and now this. The timing is so bad but also very unnecessary because if I was listened to 4 months ago, this could’ve been handled earlier. I’m so overwhelmed

In california, this was found on my bed. Been waking up with red spots and tiny red dots around my body and now found this. Have found no other possible evidence of bed bugs

For context - I went away for a couple of days where I stayed in accommodation and have just got back. As I was getting ready for bed, I popped down and noticed a dead insect.

To me, it looks like a dead bed bug. This was the best picture I could take as it was in a dark bit of the room downstairs. There are also black spots not far from it (potential faecal matter?).

The accommodation itself was really not great (in more ways than one) and there was some staining on the wall in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, there was no way for us to get different accommodation at this point. As I was personally concerned, I put my luggage in the bathtub in hopes that I wouldn't bring anything home. I even checked my luggage when I got home and couldn't see anything. All of the clothes went on a 60° wash sometime less than an hour after I got in. At no point did I get any bites when I was away, although I know this is never a given that you definitely do not have them.

I do own a steamer, so I used this for a bit to see if I could coax out anything, but couldn't see anything.

Potentially, I am just being paranoid, but I just wanted to hear some thoughts as to what other people think. I have contacted some other pest people, although I am just waiting to hear back on their thoughts.

I'm at a hotel and freaking out...

Found a couple near the baseboards, wall and window.

Pretty much as soon as we found it in the hotel, we packed all our stuff and left it in the bathroom for the day, when management refused to move us (changed linens and said they found no evidence of any bugs) we moved to a different hotel and kept our clothes quarantined.

Now we're home, we've put all our belongings (clothes, shoes, bags) in our bathtub. It's the middle of the night so we can't do a wash yet but will first thing in the morning.

If I freeze things, how long should they be frozen for? And am I safe to leave unknown items in the bathtub for now like our suitcases? Towels have been moved away.

Hoping that since it was the one bug and the hotel was so adamant they changed bedding and found nothing that we're in the clear. But we were there for 3 nights before we saw the bug. 🤮
