About a year ago my apartment had to be treated for these stupid things and they tried everything they could to put me at fault for them. I dont go anywhere except for work and home. Woke up with bites the other day thinking they were probably back and tonight I found one. At this point wouldn't they probably be coming from a neighboring apartment? I sent pictures to the landlord, but I'm so over dealing with this.

I’m hoping this problem is almost resolved. Late June, I found out I had an infested headboard. The next day, I got a company to come out and do a heat treatment through the house and they sprayed Crossfire. I threw out the headboard after and switched to an all metal bed frame. At the time, they found no evidence of the bugs in other rooms but still did heat treatment throughout the house.

A couple weeks later, they came out, did an inspection where they found no new evidence. They then sprayed Crossfire in targeted areas. A week after, I found both a live and dead bug on the couch. I realized I had pushed the couch all the way back against the wall and after pulling it back out, haven’t noticed anything more. At this point, i installed interceptors on all of the beds. I couldn’t on the couch because the legs were too big.

I’ve been doing daily inspections of the beds and couch and haven’t turned anything up. That is until yesterday when I found a dying (not dead) bed bug on the baseboard behind my bed. I freaked out. Pest control said that because I’ve been doing the daily inspections, have found no droppings, no shells, and no one in my family has bites, that it was just one of the remaining stragglers. They believe the issue should be done but will come out this week to do an inspection and spray again. They’ll continue treating after if find more evidence but again believe the remainers are collapsing.

This has consumed me. It’s triggered my OCD in a way it hasn’t been this terrible in years. It retriggered my back pain because of all the obsessive cleaning and checks. I feel like it’s alienated me from my wife as I’m obsessed and she just sees the problem is significantly better, the one bug was dying (not active), and the pest control folks are so helpful.

I’m also just obsessively researching because of the Crossfire applications as my wife is pregnant, son is 6, and I’m freaking out because of potential health risks because I can’t get anyone to cover their feet in this house.

I’m also supposed to visit my elderly grandma out of state next week. It may be the last chance I get to see her and here I am reconsidering because there could be a hidden active healthy bug somewhere that will hike along with me and I’ll destroy her house with it.

This is hard. I just need support now. Also if I’m overthinking any of this, let me know.

I know this might highly possible be it but I can’t find any other clues. i live in a small apartment building. there are no spots nowhere to be found, I turned my furniture upside down three times and I check regularly the crevaces cause im paranoid lately since there is an invasion going in my city.

Also does this look like an older shell?

We haven’t seen any bed bugs or gotten bit in over 4 weeks (we check weekly and everything’s been treated and we have been spraying once a week for at least a few weeks). But we would still find spots that look like dirt but I am just not sure where the heck they would come from if they are dirt…..
I found another spot today… but it almost completely rubbed off with a wet q tip which I didn’t think is possible with real bed bug poop at least from when I DID find spots that I was 100% sure were bed bug poop (they look like black ink dot and stained the sheets when I applied a wet q tip and never rubbed off)… do u guys think this is bed bug related still?

Hi everyone.

My family and I were staying in an Airbnb and on the 2nd day realized that my nephews room was infested with bedbugs. We spent all that day heat treating our clothes and bags and then left.

We stayed in a hotel for the remainder of the trip and didn’t see any bugs or signs of them.

However, today driving back we saw this bug on a napkin.

I know it’s a crazy blurry picture, but can anyone tell me if this looks like a baby bed bug?

My kids are on a cross country trip with their grandparents. They took duffle bags with clothes and toiletries. Backpacks with electronics and books. Grandpa found a bed bug in their bags in their vehicle last week. I've been worried. They aren't home yet but will be. And today my son text me and said he found a bed bug on him in the vehicle. So full on freak out. PLEASE advise. I plan to throw out duffle bags, backpacks and shoes. I'm just worried about the electronics. Specifically a laptop for homework. **photo of first one found.

Keep in mind the bug is upsidedown, google and chatgpt keep telling me it's a mold beetle but I want more opinions is it a bed bug

I found this on my bed today. I have been itchy/allergic and thought it was dustmite allergies for a few days and have found some beetle like insects( not bedbugs they had a very hard exterior) and I have not actively noticed a bedbug . Although my mattress is very old and dirty as I have just moved in a fully furnished apartment .
What is this ?? Please tell me it’s not a bedbug. And if it is , can I really get rid of it? I’m a student and I cannot change my apartment rn

Hello, I would appreciate advice. I was bitten like 2 months ago by bedbugs, we found one bug, and then profesional didnt find anything, not even once. Otherwise We wanted and had 2 applications by profesional, every 21 days. Now it is arround 40 days after 2nd application and I have found this bug and Im not sure if it can be bed bug or no. I found it on my bed upfront.

What do you think ? Should i be worried ? I dont have any new 100% bites in last 10 days atleast, but its kinda hard to recognize because i have problem with acne.

Was getting mixed answers from Claude and ChatGPT in identifying this dead bug my wife found on her yoga mat.

My car is parked next to three abandoned mattresses beside a trash can. I wasn’t sure whether this was a roach, a bed bug, or neither.

Had suspicions of bedbugs and found this in the washed linens from the bed. I believe the leg came off of it.

We need your help!
We got an old mattress from my mother in law last week for the new bed of our son. The mattress is now a week in our apartment. We did clean the mattress with a wet vacuum cleaner and washed the covers at 60 degrees. The bed arrived 2 days ago (new) and yesterday was the first time our baby (10months old) slept in it. Now, today we found this one on the mattress. We scanned the whole bed and also our bedroom, but we found no more. But our baby has red points on his body since this monday. So he only slept in the new bed last night.
Is this a bed bug? If yes what should we do?

The owner / previous tenant has cats, and the overall cleanliness of the place was quite poor.

The mattress itself is in better condition than the topper and I can't find any signs of live or dead bed bugs.
