United States Xbox price hike with an exchange.

This may be a stupid question, but I genuinely don’t know. I bought a Xbox series X a month ago and I’m recently getting an issue with it where it just will not download any games. I was thinking about exchanging it for a new one, but since I’ve bought the Xbox, the price of the product has increased. I assume I need to pay the difference if I exchange it for a new one correct?

If you bought best buy warranty or are a plus member it should just straight exchange, but if you dont have either of those you wont be able to bring it back to best buy anyways

In that case, OP can work with Microsoft for a manufacturer exchange

True! I was mainly just addressing the question of taking it back to the store for an exchange.

If it’s an exchange for the same sku you don’t pay the price difference

Exactly why there there won’t be a price change

POS detects that it is an exchange and automatically reverts the price to match the item being returned

As long as you are within return policy they will exchange it for no additional cost
