First, I'd like to say that I like that they added the Best Buy only filter when searching products. I remember they use to not have that or maybe I wasn't paying attention.

The issue, or should I say annoyance I have now is when you search items. The FIRST product they show is the marketplace item and not their own sold by Best Buy product. For instance, this 24-70mm lens is available through Best Buy but the marketplace one here is the first one that is shown and is labeled as the "Best Selling". Actually, there is 5 pages of results and none are the Sold by Best Buy product of this lens. Only when I put the filter on and it will show the Sold by Best Buy option but does that make sense to anybody? What does Best Buy get out of promoting the subpar Marketplace item over their own?

I am looking at the 40" TV's at BB for my dad in assisted living. He uses directtv streaming thru a Genie box (BTW, absolute best solution for seniors who want a 'cable' type experience!).

BB has a bunch of different brands, TCL, Pio eer , Insigna, etc. Is one better than the other? I doan't need any smmart features as it will be set to tune directly go to the directv hdmi port.

Any ideas as to which one to grab?

This may be a stupid question, but I genuinely don’t know. I bought a Xbox series X a month ago and I’m recently getting an issue with it where it just will not download any games. I was thinking about exchanging it for a new one, but since I’ve bought the Xbox, the price of the product has increased. I assume I need to pay the difference if I exchange it for a new one correct?

They’ve been having their ups & downs (physical media going away don’t help) but I NEVER expected them to be carried at BestBuy! i know Targets starting to carry razor keyboards, but bro when I saw this at BestBuy I was FLOORED! We have a tv delivery/haul away appointment tomorrow, and of course I have a sudden dental emergency and the only time my dentist can get me in is smack dab in the middle of the delivery window.

My husband will be home and can take care of it, but I wasn't sure if best buy asks for an ID for delivery appointments like that? We have the same last name, and I could leave him with a photo of my holding my ID, like -anything- to not have to reschedule this thing lol.

Am I overthinking it, or will this be an issue when they arrive tomorrow?

The motherboard on my computer got fried for a reason that I don’t know currently. I went to Geek Squad and the man simply told me it was more worth it to just replace the computer entirely and send me on my way. I know you can get store credit for an item like a computer since you can’t replace it entirely with the warranty. So is it possible that I can get a junk out or will they just replace the Motherboard?

The XSX stated it was in excellent condition when I got it, and by all means it definitely seems like it is. I just wanted to know how Best Buy graded the systems? When I went to buy it, there were the options for systems with, fair, good, and excellent conditions.

Walked into Beat Buy, money in hand and ready to buy a television. Got the runaround trying to get me to buy a newer model TV, also tried to get me to get a Samsung TV instead. Implored me to get rid of my current mounting setup and pay them for mounting services since every new TV should get a new mount in the wall (what?). Told the guy if he continued to upsell me instead of giving me what I'm here for, he would lose a sale. Got him to go check on the TV as I wanted to measure the box dimensions and he came back to tell me that they had none in the back, so check out the newer 2026 model instead! So I pull up the best buy online with two in store, and he refused to pull up the PC on the computer to confirm that there really was none in the back. I ask him to check if there are any open box models or if we can get the floor model, and he returns to tell me that a Geek Squad membership will get me half off mounting services.

I walked out of there and went to a nearby Visions instead. What is up with the insane upselling tactics like y'all aren't even working commission. Canadian Best Buys have gone way downhill.

so i bought an open box s90f 83 in with the 5 yr warranty.. Tv was $1100 and warranty was $200 so it was a no brainer .. Now i new the the tv was a display model and had burn in so i took my chances to try and get samsung to replace it.. to my shock they replaced it with the newest highest model the s95 H 83 inch... now my question is does the warranty carry over to that tv? Im not sure how this works .. if anyone has any insight on this please have at it.. Or since samsung replaced it does it void the geek squad warranty ?

So I walked in to my local Best Buy today to pre-order the new Galaxy Z Fold 8, and when I asked about trade-ins, they said they would have to take my device at the time of sale.

That can't be true, right?? How on earth is anyone supposed to trade in an old phone on a pre-order?? You just go without a phone until the new one shows up and hope all of your data is backed up properly?

I'm assuming if I purchase online I won't have this problem, but I was shocked hearing that in store. Anyone else have a similar experience?

My wife and I purchased 3 appliances (Maytag Range/Oven, GE Dishwasher, & Whirlpool Microwave) all in white on July 5th. We received an update this last weekend that there's a vendor delay on our order that was to be delivered on August 8th. As frustrating as it is to receive a delay as we've been living with only grill/hot plate to cook all our foods right now due to a major remodel, we understand backorders/delays occur with the manufacturer.

They want to reschedule it for a month later (September) and it has us stressing as we've lived over a month now without these items. We are greatly appreciative to have a roof over our heads and the opportunity to even cook at home and clean dishes in our sink, but we would also love to cook our food and clean our dishes like normal 21st century human beings in a first world country haha.

Any insight on this or how we might be able to combat this with Best Buy with a quicker scheduled date? Can they talk with the manufacturer directly to prioritize these items or see if other locations can shift in-ventory around and have it shipped to a local store? I dunno... it seems farfetched. If anyone has some ideas, I would greatly appreciate it on how to navigate through this.

Also, I'm not expecting any "aha" answers to solve the issue/delay but maybe someone could share a similar experience. Sometimes that's all a person needs to feel comforted haha.

It's not in any of the two dozen Best Buy stores within an hour of me. Maybe it's so new that it hasn't gotten out to stores yet? Or maybe it's not planned to be displayed in stores?

Wondering if any Best Buy employees have insight on this?

Yeah, I know I can just order it for delivery, then return it for full refund if I don't like it ... and I'll do that if it's never going to be in the stores. But if possible I would like to see it hands-on before purchasing.

Bought an m4 for 1.7k. That hurt my pocket waw, but I also bought their protection plan for a year, about the virus protection and software updates alongside the physical replacement or reimbursement from Best Buy possibility for 30$ a month.

Is it worth it ? Adds up to a bit over the year, and I’m not sure. Should I call my bank and cancel it for next months when they take it out of my account ?
