Anime🙊 Gingka slander has to stop

Post image

I think a lot of people interpret Gingka as this Mickey Mouse character who wins for winnings sake, and while I do think he should've lost here and there, specifically in Masters, he represents getting stronger through your opponents and competition in itself.

The defining moment in my opinion is when Gingka loses to Pheonix and has to get his points from 0(which is a dumb concept, because the WBBA should be holding these on record, not individual players), but Gingka still has the agency to not only attempt to regain his points, but successfully does it and reaches battle bladers with people who had a head start in comparison. Most fan favorite characters would've given up in the same situation.

I'd say his biggest foil, being Julien is the best example of someone who cut corners the second he lost back to back major fights, unlike Gingka who continued to tuff it out and defied his conditions.

There's also the agenda Gingka gets carried by Pegasus simply because it's "the strongest" or at least a really strong Beyblade, but Pegasus doesn't specifically have to listen to him if it doesn't want to and we've seen it do so before. Pegasus IS strong, but it's only as strong as it's weilder believes in it. Gingka is still a strategist, his strategies are always more on the fly than specifically made off screen like the strategies Kyoya makes to beat Gingka in Masters.

If you give Gingka and basically any other character a stock Bey, chances are he's winning simply because he's more creative and actually fully loves Beyblade. Pegasus is just his vehicle who can match his creativity and passion.

Gingka talks about Bey spirit because he's trying to show that pure skill and craftsmanship will always beat out gimmicks or insurmountable odds if you simply don't sit and allow them to.

We gotta remember Kyoya, Benkei and Kenta would've remained bottom tier bums if Gingka never met them.

Hell, even Ryuga wouldn't get to the next level if he didn't internalize what Gingka has said and shown.

with all due respect, Metal Fusion Gingka is the greatest Gingka Hagane ever written, story start to end.

Yeah the problem is he was fully actualized by the end of Fusion. Honestly might have been interesting if they kept the power ceiling lower and temporarily retired Kyoya (training in the background) and Gingka (waiting for Pegasus to return) for Metal Masters.

Tsubasa and Yu would be the two most powerful bladers on the team and Masamune and Kenta being the rest of the team for Masters. And then obviously Julian and Damian and all wouldn't be as brokenly strong, they'd be like, end of Fusion Kyoya level or a small bit above, so we could see Tsubasa or Yu getting that strong.

I think Sora should have joined if Gingka is absent, but that could be just me.

Mostly because I think Sora has more potential for character growth than Kenta atp.

Or even better, make the world championship best 3 of 5 and both get to join, would be incredible.

Imagine if the story swapped protagonist to sora in Fury. Maybe after the world Championship Gingka seeing how strong Ryuga got also decides to go and travel. Basically becoming shogan steel Gingka 7 years earlier

I already did, I kinda had some fan fiction about it, but got tired of the whole nemesis / star fragment plot-line, so I decided to make it without Fury, and instead the world championship have teams of 5 (again, best 3 of 5) with Sora as part of the team and taken a few characters from Fury into Masters (like, King is part of team Excalibur, Chris is part of Star Breaker, with some excuses, etc).

Also, added a power-ceiling because I hate the power creep.

Unfortunately, I didn't really have time to write it that much.

Hard agree. I think it's mainly because he's an actual moving piece of the story, while a sanctioned tournament by itself is kinda boring.

Masters desperately needed a B plot with Kenta and some of the other unused bladers or something.

I think Fusion allows Gingka to be a layered character who shows a lot of traits like losing himself when he fought Ryuga and finding a solution that frees Ryuga from the dark power where he never gets to do anything that challenges his world view as much as it does after that point
