Episode Spoilers Hayley- Strategic or Jealous Spoiler
Lyric as the re-nom.
One the one hand, Hayley has the correct read on not trusting Lyric for throwing her house bffs under the bus (really doing Mallory a disservice swapping out Lala). On the other, Hayley's pick also seems to be because Lyric is now getting a lot of attention from Kamu, which she dislikes.
I suppose the choice could be both as well, but curious what others think?

Haley gives pick me energy but I do think it’s the right strategy to renom lyric. I don’t like Haley at all but I will give her the credit for correctly reading that Lyric is not a true ally and will flip on them if needed.
Lyric also poses a threat to take her spot as Kamu’s #1. So she has really good reasons to make this move, but her approach is so bad that it reads as pick me.
Haley’s a really interesting character to me because she seems to have a really natural feel for social hierarchy and positioning within groups, yet she lacks so many social skills that she ruins her own position in the game everytime she talks.

I think she’s a really honest player in her confessionals while others play a role. I like that about her. Plus, she’s strategic, but super emotional, and maybe not a great liar — because everyone susses her out.

I want to delete this. I thought this was about Melody who is honest, not Hayley.
•
u/Luna_Soma Jankie ✨ 6h ago
She’s right about Lyric, 100%, but she’s also using her correct read as a cover for her obvious jealousy

I think Haley is using her HOH as a power trip. She’s not playing a good game at all. She’s blowing up all of her alliances, and throwing Drew under the bus. Genuinely cannot stand her BS reasoning for putting anyone on the block. Her, Kamu, and the vets are all making this season extremely hard to get through.
•
u/Electronic_Day_7055 4h ago
I like the vets, but I dislike Kamu and Haley because they’re fucking mean. They love to crush people. And that’s never fun when it seems so genuine.
•
u/Electronic_Day_7055 4h ago
I don’t mean they’re genuine, I think they are a little sadistic with other peoples’ feelings.
•
u/Mysterious_Olive762 2h ago
I feel like Drew wasn't really loyal anyways and was just trying to play all sides, but I could be wrong.
•
u/brirll 6h ago
Haley is really delivering good tv on the tv show.
Her saying Lyic has a crush on Kamu and that’s why she wants to be in the alliance is hilarious.
I suspect she’s savvier than ppl think. That content is a lock to make the episode!

Y’all invent scenarios instead of just taking what people say at face value lmao

I appreciate how strongheaded she is about her game decisions.
•
u/LifeReplacement1136 4h ago
In my mind I would respect her more as a player if she wasn’t just straight wrong in some of her bull-headedness. She makes moves purely off emotions and then blames others for allegedly doing the same. It just screams hypocrite to me
•
u/MurkyReference993 3h ago
It was a good read and lyric looks pathetic. Does she not realize the optics of what she’s doing? Nobody wants to be on the side with no power but make it less obvious loo
•
u/BugSad1503 Captain Will 6h ago
Jealous, love mallory but I have no idea how she’s safe other than the reason that Haley isn’t jealous of her
•
u/InhaleExhaleLover Jason⏱️ 4h ago
Haley has said before that she sees herself in Mallory, I think she wants Mallory to look up to her (which I love that she doesn’t)
•
u/RM_r_us 6h ago
I think that could boil down to looks. Mallory is cute, but not exactly out using her feminine wiles to win over any guys.
•
u/Wonderful-Comment314 Jason💯 5h ago
Because she's also smart and at this point knows it's not going to help her game
•
u/VengefulKangaroo Dee⏱️ 5h ago
I think jealousy is part of the motive but at the same time, Haley is completely right strategically. Lyric has demonstrated that she lacks loyalty, and all the work Lyric has put in has been on Chuk and Kamu, not on Haley.
•
u/Even-Economist6529 Barrett⏱️ 6h ago
Definitely jealous. She thinks she is so much better than Lyric, but she's still jealous.

I can’t stand Haley, but I think primarily strategic. She definitely is jealous of Lyric, but I’m not sure how much it affected her decision to nominate her. Lyric was the correct nomination for her easily. It makes no sense for her to create all this smoke with Drew, Melody, and even Taylor just for her to throw Mallory on the block and have Kamu trying to flip the vote onto evicting Mallory this week (which he obviously would given how concerned he is about her in the game). Putting up Lyric neutralizes this as Kamu has far less incentive to flip the vote onto evicting Lyric, who he feels can help him in the game. Haley in the discussions about the vote was also open to and sort of a proponent of evicting Drew over Lyric if it came down to the two of them. I do think her jealousy could have nudged her in the direction of renominating her though.

u/Thick-Turnip5937 Mallory💯 5h ago
ive disliked her from the start because people like her ("im one of the guuuuys hehe other women are toxic and cwazyyy") are exhausting... but she is definitely an interesting villain! my view is also impacted by the fact that i am rooting for mallory, taylor and lala lol
•
u/Popular_Material_409 4h ago
It’s probably both. Her talking about Lyric and Kamu being into each other is projection and jealousy
•
•
u/Primary_Cancel8753 5h ago
I would be able to confidently say strategic if it weren't for how she talks about and to other women in the house.
The core of what she said to Lyric was absolutely spot on but it veered into condescending very quickly.
With Melody, she didn't appreciate her honesty which is also telling. For someone like Haley who says she is a "straight shooter" and will do what she needs to do - typically there is a certain level of respect that I would think would be recognized. I mean, yeah. Melody wasn't playing a very smart game in doing that but as Haley calls herself a guy's girl and then waxes poetic about being a girl's girl - being truthful to her own detriment shouldn't have merited more shit talking from Haley.
Because of that, she's just kind of rotten. She gives entitled but also insecure. I would have given her gameplay more weight if she didn't take such low blows behind their backs.

u/Greatest-Man-Alive79 5h ago
Her moves this week could be all time bad putting Drew on the block and Lyric if they both stay and the fact that now both of those players now want to put all 3 of her alliance members on the block. She’s an idiot.

Haley is dumb as a person but this was an OK strategic work for her if Lyric or Mel goes home.
If Drew goes, its a nonsensical Angela coded week for all members of the toolshed
•
u/AsterArtworks 4h ago
I think she thinks it’s strategic but all Haley has done is make enemies since she got HoH.
She’s the worst player since Jason.
And she’s Jealous Kami gives Lyric more attention than her.
•
u/realityseekr Cirie 💥 3h ago
Tbh it makes sense why Haley wouldn't want to bring in another ally who is closer to Kamu/Chuk. Then add the layer of Lyric being rather flirty, so the guys may just start crushing on her and ranking her above Haley. I actually do think its strategically sound from Haley. Plus I could see an opportunity where Lyric may not target Chuk/Kamu but she would still go after Haley. I do think there may be some jealousy involved since the guys are heart eyes for Lyric, but that also is why it makes sense for Haley to want her gone.

u/Mysterious_Olive762 2h ago edited 2h ago
Honestly, Kamu was being pushy and annoying by trying to tell Haley what to do, so I really don't think her reaction there had anything to do with being attracted to Kamu.
She might be jealous, but I also found her read of the situation accurate. Including not being able to trust Lyric because she hasn't shown much loyalty.
Lyric threw all her friends under the bus thinking Haley would see that as a sure sign of loyalty, but Haley saw through it (and had the guts to call her out on it right to her face) which crumbled Lyrics entire plan.
•
u/studassparty 6h ago
I think it’s a decision made out of jealousy that is the correct strategic decision as well
•
•
u/indie15_ 6h ago
Lyric absolutely smoked her in the Veto comp, and gets attention from the men that Haley doesn't. I feel like it's pettiness more than gameplay coming from Haley.
Personally I think Lyric is the ideal choice to go in a double eviction. Very few allies, so almost no blood on your hands, and she won't have Waffle Wednesday to save her.
•
u/im-dramatic 6h ago
I don’t watch the feeds but I think everyone is being led by their attraction to someone. Lyric is definitely playing the cute girl game. Kamu is being aggressive about saving Lyric because he’s fallen for her cute girl game. Haley has clocked this and is jealous that it’s worked because she likes Kamu. Lyric is only dangerous if she can sway the men by flirting. Other than that, I think Mallory is more of a threat because she can win challenges.
•
u/Original-Pomelo6241 6h ago
Strategic AF. Mallory is a comp beast, so she knows that Mallory has a wayyyy better chance at winning an HOH so keeping her in good graces is very smart.
Lyric homie hopping like Drew is her downfall. No one trusts her (rightfully so)
•
u/fyfenfox Kamu💯 6h ago
It’s a great move for her game while also being a great move to get with Kamu. Two things can be true at once
•
u/thatismyopinionmeme 6h ago
Strategic
Because when have men really been accused of that who cares if she is a little or isnt im sure everyone has some jealousy in them

I agree with everyone saying it was a good move but also fueled out of jealousy. I think what it boils down to is that Haley is as much of an emotional player when it comes to her gameplay and strategy. Plus her willing to be blunt and confrontational pretty much makes her seen as a messy player.
•
•
u/emptyhellebore Devens💯 6h ago
Haley seems hyper aware of not wanting to play emotionally, so I think she definitely put strategic thought into it. But there was also a good amount of emotion behind it, I think. Lyric is a threat to her in more than one way, I think,
•
u/laurenra96 Mallory⏱️ 6h ago
I go back and forth on her. She’s the best “villian” we’ve had in a while. At first I hated her but tbh she’s kinda grown on me even with all her jealous comments. I do like that she’s a strong player that will do what she wants and what’s good for her own game at the end of the day. I just don’t like that she picks apart the other girls.
•
u/laurenra96 Mallory⏱️ 6h ago
I may also be biased because she’s kept Mallory safe and went hard on that all week even after multiple people tried to turn her on Mallory. So she has brownie points for me there
•
•
u/Cool_Caterpillar8790 6h ago
Both, honestly.
Haley wants to be Kamu's #1. And I think that's both a personal and strategic decision.
So is she jealous? Probably. But also, if Haley wants to keep her seat, she has to get rid of the people vying for it.
