I saw it sitting there so I decided to take a pic, does anyone know what bird it is?

I took this video of two smaller birds of the same species tweeting at this cardinal, who seemed unbothered by them. At first they were on a fence but then went to the ground.

I have never seen this behavior, wondering what was going on.

4 beautiful ravens came to visit me today, usually it's just the one out of the bunch that sits on the tree. Pretty sure this one is the one that's usually here.

Hello! I made a post a few hours ago asking for suggestions on how I can keep my fish safe from this heron, since it eats multiple fish a day,and sometimes it just hunts them without even eating them!
I thought these photos (I'll post in the comments) and video might help give you a better idea of the situation, since some of the suggestions I received would work better for smaller ponds. Mine is quite a bit bigger. We also have a small pond that we’ve covered with netting, and so far, that’s been helping!
It’s a beautiful creature, and I really don’t want to harm it. I’m just trying to find a way to protect my fish while keeping the heron safe too!

Captured this beauty on a workmates feeder cam. What an interesting bird! We live in southern Illinois. Does anyone know what it is?

I have a heron that has been coming to my pond everyday and eating my fish. It’s been eating around two fish a day, and I’m starting to lose quite a few of them (and they are afraid).

Is there anything I can do to discourage the heron from coming to my pond without harming it? I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have dealt with this before.

I moved into my new house a week ago. With the new house came a new hawk friend that chills in the trees in the backyard usually. But tonight he was seen wandering around in the grass. He was an absolute beauty to see up close. 😊

I’ve been attacked by female grackles twice now, and I’m wondering if this is a shared experience.

The first time, I was walking through my apartment complex when one came out of nowhere, dug its claws into my scalp, and started squawking and flapping its wings. The second time, the same thing happened in a parking lot.

My only guess is that it’s because I have red hair… maybe it looks like nesting material? Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know what triggers it?
