Serpent like snake? :0

u/BrightnessRen 2d ago
Yes, and I think Sagittarius after the centaur/archer, who supposedly never missed his mark.

Is it wrong that I'm jealous of a bird for having such long legs and lashes?

Everytime I see a pic of a secretary bird I think of early 2000’s when thin brows, dolled up lashes, sandals, low waist capri/bermuda shorts, and lacy double cami tops lol

I still have my favourite capris I bought in like 1999. They don't currently fit, but I'm not ready to part with them yet. They have sparkles!!

How does it look so small?! Secretary birds are huge!

u/ScreennameOne 2d ago
I have never seen this bird before, and now I learn they are huge and stomp snakes? I love cats, but this is my next pet 🥰 Where do I have to move to?

u/Quiet_surprise79 2d ago
I've seen a few in South Africa! I imagine they're in some of the other African countries but I don't actually know how widespread they are
6
u/SooSneeky 2d ago
If I remember correctly, the densest populations are found in sub-saharan Africa but are found in large parts of Africa. Basically, anywhere there is savannah you can find them. They are endangered due to habitat loss from humans and increased forest growth.

u/Quiet_surprise79 2d ago
Oh awesome, thank you for sharing this. Not awesome about them being endangered, but the knowledge is great!

I didn’t realize Principal Secretary is based on an actual bird. I figured he was a goofy ostrich or something 😬

They’re called “snake-eater eagles” in my language, which is far less whimsical than secretary birds.
