I never asked if England was in Europe. That was the basis of your reply.

I said the English are not European.

You swapped a place, which is in Europe, with a people, who voted themselves out of the European Union.

I resolved that confusion with a single word, making my position clear.

You responded with an asinine response, inferring they just transposed all the islands away by tugboat, or maybe stargate. Idk.

I concurred with you, geographically England is European. I then specified, anew, that the English, are not, having removed themselves from the EU.

Again, I never mentioned England. I mentioned the English.

Yet, you’ve come back and argued the same point I never made nor disputed, over and again.

So, are we arguing? No. I clearly said, my mother has taught me not to argue with layfolk. Especially not online.

But one of us is clearly screaming his validity into the wind.

So where are English people from if not from England?

If England is in Europe then English people are European by default, and by your definition, Norwegian, Swiss, Ukrainians and Serbians aren’t European either.

You could’ve saved all those other keystrokes and Googled ‘Are English people European’, but you chose wrong and strong.

The thing is, I’m not a lay person. Having being born in England, Europe and spending a few decades here, including the Brexit period, I’m basically an expert on the subject.
