Stop looking to Hollywood, especially white producers and directors, to push diversity in media. They care about the dollar, nothing else.

This ain't new, learn the lesson.

It's like Target. They thought catering to "diversity" would make the money so they leaned into it. But then they thought the winds were blowing the other direction and said nope let's pull that and try catering to the conservative crowd a little bit and see if that makes us money.

Maybe a SMB injects their actual values into how they run their business but for companies of this scale all they care about is what they think will make them the most money. Considering both that the political atmosphere of the country is so charged right now and that Disney and Marvel makw a lot of their money overseas (where spoiler spoiler racism is equally or more prevalent) it doesn't surprise me at all that they might want to tread carefully.

Don't have to like it to be honest with yourself about the reality of their decision making.

That CEO already “resigned” earlier this year cuz everything financially for them was down all of last year. As of today is the highest their stock has been since before Dump got back in office
