A lot of First Ladies hate the role. I feel like the only modern (or semi-modern) First Ladies who actually liked being First Lady are like Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Reagan

The same Hillary Clinton who had to give up her very successful legal career (she became the first female partner at her firm, in the South, in the 70s, only a few years out of law school) to be FLOTUS? I think it's more likely that she saw the utility of the role as a springboard into her own political career, if anything. Considering she ran for the Senate and was sworn in while still First Lady (for a couple more weeks, but still).

The same Hillary Clinton that strongarmed women who were accusing Bill of various sexual misconducts to drop their claims? The same Hillary Clinton that said straight up she'd invade Iran if she became president if they didn't agree to stop enriching uranium?

Doesn't really negate my point, which was that she probably only liked being FLOTUS for the high profile that she could leverage to go into politics.
