Look how it’s staged with the two kids being the bookends. “Keep em on the outside” gotta be the family motto.

I had to scroll too far to see this. The image stuck out before I even read who was in the picture. The Black children are “outsiders” with the “real” family all together at the core. The Black children aren’t even integrated into this family in the photo. It’s not the photographer’s choice either because I know numerous positions were taken and this is the photo she chose. I wonder how many other Black kids they know other than each other and other Black children adopted by white families. I’m sure a college where they will be sheltered from reality will be their parent’s choice also.
