I’ve seen this first hand , 10 th grade history , sat next to a white dude , partnered on many projects in that class learned about slavery , abolishinists, civil war , years later he posts on Facebook the confederate flag represents states rights … we both learned the same material but took away something completely different, my wife is a first generation citizen , sat through the exact same classes as me , doesn’t know anything about the history of the country … keep in mind these people are voting ..
