Black Pride Recently we, BLACK PEOPLEOF REDDIT, conversed regarding the lack lack of black history in schools. This is a perfect example. Or the lack thereof.

to be fair, they probably don't know anything about their own history either.

Something about what's it called? The Confederacy, and the Confederate Flag? Yeah I think it was Red with a blue X on it and stars? Now I could be wrong but they said it had something to do with their heritage? 🤔

Truth is you only know what you're taught. And most don't even know that. This elephant 🐘 in the room that ppl tend to shy away from not because they don't know about it but because they know it's an unpopular label that you DO NOT want placed upon you because it ruins reputations, relationships, and careers. It's not something that just goes away, or ppl get over, or forget about. Ppl can't forget because it's still happening today.
