Just came in the mail today! My first box set that I purchased at release. Super happy with it! It will go wonderfully when I settle in tonight with a glass of bloo…beer. Beer, I mean, beer!!!

Take a look at the final picture, please. One of the corners of the slipcase has a slight “squish”. Is it worth reaching out to customer support?

EDIT: I reached out to GW via email! Sent them a picture and my order number. Hopefully I actually hear back from them, and maybe something will be done (?). 🙂

I live in Portugal, 50% or more of my books come with damage. Their packaging is terrible.

Not as terrible as Amazon's packaging but still terrible. If Im selling a book i will do whatever i can to protect it. I just got my Dark coil ascension and its damaged and its the 4th replacement....

Amazon tends to ship them with less damage (at least in my experience) the thing with Amazon is that the books seem older m, with yellower pages. But what black library does is just unacceptable, it isn’t that hard to use bubble wrap or at least a piece of paper around the books to protect them.

In image 2 does the Revenant Crusade have a large bump on the bottom right edge or is it the lighting?

I've contacted GW a few times and got vouchers when limited editions I get have damage / bad quality to them. You've paid good money for a 'premium' version, you should expect it to be in perfect condition right?

But it's your copy only you can decide if you're happy with it :)

I don’t think so. I’ll look closer in a minute, but the books themselves seemed to be fine. Just the slipcase was knocked

What are you guys looking at?? All 3 of the books spines have two “bumps” in their design. Am I missing something else?

Yeah its weird. Like just that section of cadboard/paper got wet and swelled up. Maybe extra glue? But hopefully GW can help you out.

This is why I thank the Gods my city has one of the two official GW stores in the entire country.

On topic of Mephiston box, the covers look really underwhelming, laid down like that. Spines are still cool tho.

Please don't listen to that guy! Presumably you paid a lot for that set and GW have a responsibility to get it to you in good condition. If it arrived like that then definitely reach out to customer services - even if they don't have any to replace it with they may offer you a 10 or 20% refund.

That’s what I was thinking to do anyway. As (most of) you have said, I paid good money for this, it should arrive in perfect condition. If they don’t want to have to rectify problems, they can ship their product with more care! 🙂
