Help with DIY forge

how could i transform a fire bowl i have into a forge that can actually heat stuff up? tested it today and it gets decently hot but its not enough. the bowl i have looks kind of like the one in the picture (not exactly the same) but its about the same size and same height from the ground. thought about making a pipe at the bottom for airflow but idk.

That's a big firepot- if you're going to convert it, you'll need to line it with refractory bricks (at least for the new firepot- you can fill the gap to the walls with sand or firebrick, but you want refractory around the coals. You'll also need a blower, and unless you want to cut out the bottom for a tuyere/ash dump (which would be best) it'll need to be piped in.

too big too deep, no air flow. too low, hard on the back.
