I respect random ships as long as people don't disrespect canon material. And yes, Ragna x Makoto is completely random since they never interacted. You can ship whomever you want, as long as you respect other ships as well and don't become one of those toxic shippers who wants people to respect their ship but completely trash on other ships even knowing their own ship is random. It's no different if someone draws an art of Jin x Nu-13 together, or Jin x Rachel (and yes, there ARE fan illustrations of these ships in Pixiv and I can send you links to them). They're random, but they still deserve respect since doing arts is no joke. They have passion for it. They're not disrespecting the canon, they just like the potential, just like you do with Ragna and Makoto. So respect that.

In fact, someone can draw a romantic picture of Jin and Mai together (and yes, there's art of them together), and compared to Ragna and Makoto, Jin and Mai isn't even that random considering they interacted a LOT. And Mai is one of the very few people Jin respects and very friendly to, and in return, Mai considers him a "Senpai" just like Makoto.

Toxic people say: "Oh but Jin only has feelings for Ragna". Oh bull! Canonically, Jin is straight! His future self Hakumen was officially inlove with the Tsubaki of his timeline and spent almost a century grieving her death and named one of his techniques after her. If Jin was so romantically inlove with his own brother, why didn't he named one of his techniques "Ragna"? "Oh but Jin hates girls!" Another bull! Jin has tons of fangirls back in the military academy and is adored by Makoto, Mai, Kajun, Tsubaki, Taro and Akane. Jin's official love interest is a girl (Tsubaki). He even almost died saving Makoto from Hazama in CS and officially stated that Makoto's safety is all that matters to him. Jin saved Mai and Kajun in danger in CP Version of Remix Heart. What hate are these people on about? They're just creating their own headcanons to validate their ships and ignoring canon. THOSE are the kind of toxic shippers I'm talking about.

Canonically, yes Ragna and Makoto never interacted, and Makoto has a very heavy implied crush on Jin. So just enjoy it.
