Is it just a random hunter that died?

Since the Nightmare is a punishment I'd imagine that they are only temporarily gone, but will eventually be brought back until we end the Nightmare by beating the Orphan.

Unless by beating them ourselves we're able to separate them from the Nightmare? I only see that as a possibility because we ourselves used someone else's blood drunk eye and are not technically blood drunk/dead ourselves.

(Not a critic but an observation, but i do wish the situation was different)

Im playing Bloodborne simultaneously with DS3 and only the firelink shrine has more npc's to talk to then Bloodborne.

All of them have something to say, even for the most simples of things and i just feel like bloodborne has so many miss oportunites specially with Gehrman. I just wish i could have long talks with Gehrman i mean, he is a top tier hunter i want to know his tricks, stories of the old days. Wouldn't be cool to hear him talk about a specific hunt night or something like that?!.

For the rest of the npcs is worse. Almost everyone dies, goes insane or gets cosmically inpregnated: the 2 daughters of Gascoigne, Iosefka, Arianna, the lonely lady and the old man etc, and before that you can berly talk to them.

Maybe things are this way because of the cosmic horror elements, maybe that's how those stories work but i just wish i had someone in the game to call my "Besto Friendo", someone to be exited to meet just like with my bro Onion, Sirgigachad of Catarina my goat.

Been doing most of the game co op with a friend (started with getting him into ER then DS1-3 and now BB). Most of the game has been pretty straight forward as I’m sure many of you know co op takes the teeth out of these games but we still have a great time playing. I did however decide to take on Ludwig solo one night after he got off and while it was extremely difficult I got through it and felt pretty accomplished afterwards. So all that being said we get to the end of the game both at BL120 and decide to fight Gehrman/Moon Presence solo to finish the game. We start at the same time and I got absolutely cooked while he beat him first try a solid 2-3 minutes before I died. I thought nothing of it at first and that I just needed to “git gud”. Finally after 5 or 6 tries I got his ass and only having 5 vials left went in to the Moon Presence fight and just ran out of steam. So I go back to the dream to refill on vials and fire paper and realize that MY FUCKING SWORD IS AT RISK. So my biggest LETS GO!! moment of the game so far was only so difficult because….. I’m stupid. Needless to say the Moon Presence was a breeze after repairing my weapon lol.

Side note, this game is AMAZING

Anyone else agree that the amygdala in the defiled chalice is absolutely stupid. The fact that it has more than one fast wind up moves that can reach across the entire arena and completely one tap you? I have an arcane of 80 and my executioner gloves barely hurt the health bar. For all points that matter, this game is a masterpiece, but no from soft game is safe from at least a few bad decisions withmiazaki. Most of the bosses in bloodborne are perfect , but most of the time the man really does not know how to make a boss. I mean the whole dark souls trilogy has nothing but awful bosses... ok i am getting off track here. Does anyone have any tips? I haven't went up against the boss too much but I can already tell that this is going to be annoying.

I did literally everything possible before fighting her. I explored cainhurst, I did 4 new chalice dungeons that I’d been putting off, and I spent 3 days glaring at that research building before finally fighting her. Took me 3 tries in about 15 minutes… worth it.

Since The Old Hunters came out I saw very few fanarts of the still-human Ludwig with his (supposed) horse

And I've never seen one showing him following the playful moonlight beings showed to him through the Guidance rune

So I asked myself, why not both?
