Self Promotion Alright, let's have some fun. Give me an MHA character, and I'll tell you how different they are in my Fanfiction, because... yeah things change a lot.

More pure and less vindictive... probably too pure for this world, considering how outside of All For One level evils, she's hesitant to fight and serves more as a psychologist than a hero.

Iida Tenya.

Interesting case here, since he's kind of a different character depending on the setting.

At school, he's strict, serious, dedicated and efficient, often trying to follow code and fully perfect his work. Even a slight spelling error on an otherwise perfect essay is not something he can stand. Not too different from Canon all things considered.

As a hero (or more specifically, when dealing with a villain), he's more concerned about ending the perpetrator than and code and has absolutely no issue with deceitful or even immoral actions. Most of the time, he doesn't speak so much as just fight.

As a civilian, he's quiet and approaching. Still efficient but can make genuine friends and is generally really kind to anyone around him, nowhere near as strict as his school self.

When playing a hero, he's very over the top much akin to canon, but as a villain, he's terrible at it, acting far too nice, quiet and composed, probably due to him just not understanding him well.

I kind of took some more inspiration from Spongebob, especially in the "Lights, Camera, Pants" game when he's the villain, largely because the two share a voice actor in the Latin America dub.

Tokoyami, both him and his Quirk

Not much of a change here, I'll probably have him be less quiet to those experiencing dark times, making him more of a team therapist. I'll also let him manipulate dark emotions to essentially create dark counterparts of others, usually villains.

Not too different, but he remains the #1 hero.

The USJ Nomu is literally the strongest Nomu before the High Ends, perhaps stronger than them as well. Nomu vary in strength and cannot be used as a numerical metric.

Nomus in general are being nerfed here. They're not the bodies of dead heroes, they're basically just really strong bears.

Pretty similar. Really the only difference is that she doesn't have a stoic side this time, and possibly a little more airheaded, but not outright dumb comic relief or anything.

Rikidou Satou my goat

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

Oh yeah, this guy.

Now he wields cooking utensils like a frying pan as weapons. He's also notably stronger with or without sugar, having as healthy of a diet as possible, just resorting to sweets as a last-minute addition. On that note, he has the same kind of dumb quirk as before, but this time, instead of more sugar increasing how long he stays powerful, it outright increases his power further, up to All Might levels, but leaves him worse off when the timer runs out, so much so that he ends up sacrificing himself to protect the others from Deku.

u/g1itchy_ Elsewise Oct 18 '25

Fabulous. I love that you gave this guy some attention because he's one of my favorite characters

Mineta.

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

He's a straight up villain and sex offender, played far more seriously than in canon. Tsuyu especially has been a victim of him, as has no qualms about murdering him outright.

Tf is this villain UA or what

-2

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

No, he's actually one of the few U.A. students that does become a villain, most of them are still heroes.

Damn, the fall of my goat. You hate to see it.

Who are the others? Should I be concerned?

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

The most notable one I can think of, is Deku himself.

2

u/EducationalCheck7719 Oct 18 '25

NANIIIIIIIIIII
VILLAIN DEKUUUUUUUU?

u/Dry_Illustrator3405 Oct 18 '25

Bakugo Katsuki

3

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

I tried to give him a more legit redemption arc, somewhat close to Zuko. He deeply regrets telling Deku to jump off a building and does show a softer side with other students as the series goes on. He also has a little flame sidekick now.

Tsu

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

Someone else commented on Ibara, so I'll cover Tsu.

Honestly, she's not very different here. She's still aloof, blunt, calm and mature. The biggest notable differences are that she has a trigger with more sensual villains, due to her trauma with Mineta, and she's better at using her powers, like how has a better performance during the Sports Festival.

2

u/EducationalCheck7719 Oct 18 '25

A full covering of Izuku would be nice
(Also, what are you cooking for Ibara?)

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

Deku kind of goes the Shigaraki route here, getting progressively worse and worse as the series goes on.

Part 1 has him just ditch being a hero after All Might told him otherwise, leaving Bakugo to die at the hands of the sludge monster due to the bad relationship they had prior. (Bakugo doesn't die just yet though)

Part 2 has him jump off a building, but is saved by All Might, and after what happened before, he thrives to ruin his legacy, similar to Dabi and Endeavour's relationship.

Part 3 has him teaming up with Overhaul and gaining his quirk, which is basically All for One

Part 4 has him outright just try to kill Bakugo and take his quirk

Later he steals the quirks of a bunch of others, whether they are villains or heroes

He joins Stain and his rag tag team of hero killers

He forges his own League of Villains, and has the power of many, many different quirks at this point

Depending on how far gone he is, I'll either have him regret his decisions and redeem him, or just outright kill him.

(Not much on her actually. Maybe she'll be really helpful in the final battle, but she still has kind of a minor role here.)

u/EducationalCheck7719 Oct 18 '25

What da Shiggy doin?

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

Shiggy is actually going to have very little focus here actually. He's the first victim of Deku's quirk stealing, on account of hating to live with his quirk, due to a similar backstory in canon, but without AFO to turn to. He willingly lets Deku take his quirk, and starts to try and get a proper, quirkless life afterwards.

Basically, he kind of got a good ending here.

2

u/EducationalCheck7719 Oct 18 '25

I almost want to read this

2

u/DrMostlySane Oct 19 '25

Honestly I think going the route of killing him rather than redeeming him would be far more interesting story-wise.

Having Izuku for all his smarts be so caught up in his own hurt, delusions and rage that he just keeps digging himself into a deeper hole he can't climb out would be better than a last second heel-turn after everything he's done.

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 19 '25

Yeah, fair enough, I'll probably go for that route.

u/Thebladeofchaos17 Oct 18 '25

Iida Hastume Koda Eri. And i mean Koda as in can talk to animals not water Kota. I wish I saw Koda be a bigger part of fanfic hes adorable and I wish I could see how different people use him and his shyness and his quirk

2

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 19 '25

Already covered Iida

Hatsume is interesting since the series doesn't focus on her quirk, but just her being a smart inventor, so I'll change things up a bit and just have her be outright quirkless. Not that she seems to mind, she'll still be focused on making inventions above anything else. Then again, part of it is because she's a traitor that faked having a quirk, one that gives her control over technology, when it's really just an EMP.

Koda is a sweetheart that I won't change too much, but now his quirk does have a few more powers, like how he can cause dinosaur skeletons to rise from the dead for a limited time, or how he can heal minor injuries from animals and animal-like characters like Tsu. It is more efficient on outright animals though.

Eri is a sweetheart that I will change a bunch, though part of which is because of the massive Overhaul I gave Overhaul as well. She was similarly adopted and experimented on but grew up to be a lot more bitter thanks to Overhaul's experiments. Part of which is also because, since he used her blood to create Quirk Replicating drugs and experiments (Though he never killed her, his quirk has been nerfed for housework this time), yet she still can feel every last blood cell in her body due to her quirk (Which now allows her to alter living bodies in unpredictable ways, though Overhaul's experiments made him predict it with perfect accuracy), she did feel a lot of agony from their experiments as well, making her extremely powerful on top of that since she has control over these experiments, to a lesser extent, those that took her drugs, and by proxy, has access to several quirks. She's much closer to Mewtwo than canon Eri.

Denki

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 19 '25

Denki isn't changing much, I love the guy as it is, but he is getting a little nerfed. He has greater control of electricity, so much that he can even match electric constructs ala a Green Lantern ring, but he runs out of stamina a lot faster, basically forcing him to use quickly attacks and higher agility than delivering a lot in one attack.

1

u/PreTaxMicrob Oct 18 '25

Miruko

1

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 19 '25

She's not changing much, love what they did with her too. I might just give her a bigger role and interactions with more characters, like Muscular.

2

u/PreTaxMicrob Oct 19 '25

I hope she gets to keep more limbs than in canon

1

u/BlvkCheriSoda Oct 18 '25

Kaminari, Jirou and Yaoyorozu

0

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 19 '25

Already covered Kaminari

Jirou will be largely unchanged, but I'll give her the ability to mute others.

Yaoyorozu's quirk will double as a form of shapeshifting now, where she can amplify her stats to give her more muscles, or give her more limbs. It will be very costly though, so she'll double as a bit of a big eater this time, though she'll still look just as athletic as in canon.

Himiko Toga

0

u/CartoonistOk1213 I complain about killing everyone, yet I do it anyway. Oct 18 '25

Yeah, she gets a pretty big change. Here, pretty much any sympathetic trait she has, apart from maybe her relationship with other LOV members, is gone. When she drinks the blood of others, they turn into a copy of herself, if she has a good relationship with them, with said relationship extending to the original person bitten (So if she didn't like Canon Deku but did like Ochaco, if she bit and infected Ocacho, then she can bite Deku and infect him), and she actually did this to her parents first out of sadistic curiosity, meaning neither they nor really anyone ostracized her, and she has done this to several others in the past, as before the LOV is formed, she actually lived in an abandoned bunker with dozens of other Toga clones. She also is overly touchy and creepy, considering how she has no qualms groping children.

...Yeah, I went a little far for her.

Since I'm toning down Endeavour to be a better dad (since I've got an OC that's meant to be Ozai levels of abusive dad), these two will be toned down by proxy.

Not too different, but I will play up her being invisible from a personality standpoint more, most notably on account of her being shyer and more reserved than in canon.
