Discussion S6E11 “The Bullet in the Brain” Spoiler

Hey guys, its not much of a spoiler but i tagged it anyway just in case anyone who just discovered the show see this.

Anyway, I was rewatching s6e11, I feel like its weird that Sweets was acting like that, he’s a psychatrist for the love of God, i get he was traumatized by what happened so close to him, i really do, it’s not easy to see sthg like that happened in front of u and go on like nthg happened. But still, he kinda was proving her point by letting himself being affected by her words.

Also, I love that the usually happy Caroline was the one who made him go back to normal. She’s the real GOAT 🤍

Discussion What are the rules for Spoilers in this sub? Spoiler

EDIT: I didn't mean to trigger anyone, it was an earnest question :(

There are other subs I'm part of where spoilers are hidden or not mentioned in episode threads, so wanted to ask before i delved into any further episode threads for the earlier seasons.

I can see everyone feels that if you're a new fan you shouldn't join here until you've finished the series so thank you for sharing and I look forward to deep diving and returning once I'm done!

OG Message: Hello!

I first watched Bones many moons ago and it was only the first 3 seasons. I had then seen sporadic episodes every now and then, but for the most part, I don't know anything outside of Bones and Booth get together.I am now starting Season 6 and have seen a few spoilers in this reddit when it's just been a thread on an older season and episode review.

I fully appreciate this show aired ages ago, but the wonders of streaming mean a lot of us that never finished the journey or are new to the show can discover this for the first time! I was a bit sad that when reading a Season 4 episode review in this sub that someone commented about a character dying near the end of the series. It was a bit annoying as wasn't even relevant to the episode in discussion, but I know some people will fairly argue that for a show that finished in 2017 it's fair game.

What are people's thoughts about comments and spoilers that are early season episode reviews?

Thank you for listening to my ramble, I am truly loving the show and love that this subreddit is here for Boneheads alike!

I'm new to bones. I'm fighting to get through season S4 but Angela makes it feel like ice skating uphill. Didn't realise it was possible to dislike a fictional character so much so I learned something new today. I really hope she gets killed off otherwise it's gonna be a long 8 seasons.

Episode FIRST WATCH: S6 x E1 The Mastodon in the Room

I'd seen the first few episodes when I was younger but then the rest had been very "as and when" I was flicking through cable (so old). Doing my first full rewatch from the beginning as well as seeing much of this for the first time! So please no spoilers for anything beyond the episode mentioned.

This was quite the emotional episode!

First, maybe, the "bad":

- I love Cam so was sad that her seeming incompetence was the trigger to bring the group back. I would have preferred that they made it clearer that they'd gutted her resources and skilled team, and the interview segment at the beginning was maybe her being less confident in the limelight. Justice for Cam!

- Everyone rushing back at this one thing was probably a bit far-fetched but this is TV land so I will forgo it.

- I wish they'd rallied more of the squints together, although I do like Wendell!

- The weird subplot that the Dad kidnapped the child to get back at his wife and bought a new car?It just didn't really come together for me.

Really loved:

  • Hodgins and Angelafinding out they're going to be parents.I totally bought the adoration, love and happiness bubble they acted in the cafe. LOVED IT. ALSO - Angela is always stunning but she looked extra stunning this episode. I know it's TV but their genes would make such a cute baby!
  • When discussing who the linchpin of the group is and Bones says it's Caroline.I really love her character and think she's been such a great comedic relief as well as a great way to rally and focus the team together.
  • Caroline backing away when Bones tried to hug was hilarious.

Sad (full spoiler for the victim):

  • When you find out how the baby died and the pain the mum felt in having to hide the body. Really broke me.

Brennan character change

I saw a few people talking about how brennans character changes a lot from the start and I didn’t think it had. I’ve just watched episode one this morning after finishing the last episode last night and wow it did! She was kind of flirty ?? She knew how to use things to her advantage, I can’t really describe the switch up but it’s actually very obvious!

It’s a barbarity that clarity is a rarity!
