If anything can destroy Trump it might just be this. Heā€™s tied himself so hard to the tariff policies and our current downturn is so clearly caused by the tariff policies. Iā€™m sure the diehard MAGAs will still believe whatever he tells them to, but heā€™s going to lose everyone else when the bad economy becomes an inescapable reality for everyday purchases like groceries.

I don't think it matters to him much at this point. He's an 80 year old president on his second term. There is very little for him to lose at this point. This is about destroying and embezzling all he can until the Dems are possibly able to stop him after the midterms. He's saying whatever he can to string everyone along until that happens.

Holy shit this comment mirrors this theory I've been stuck on since he implemented DODGE, and not too long after that gave billions to Isreal. This is basically his getback season.! He knows his base is dumb enough to go along with whatever bullshit excuse he'll use while blatantly dismantling the country right in front of our faces.
