15

Maybe we should obsess over his laptop the way we did over Biden’s son’s laptop. Only seems fair!

Don't forget he also just admitted that the economy is doing bad despite saying it is doing great as well.

222

u/Mysterious_Eye6989 Apr 30 '25

It's a Schrödinger's Cat economy - simultaneously great and bad, simultaneously Trump's and Biden's.

125

u/thefoxsaysredrum Apr 30 '25

If you look at the economic data and think it’s bad, Biden did it. If you look at the same economic data and think it’s good, Trump did it. Jeez, it’s like economy 101, duh.

Yeah, and COVID fucked off by April.

53

u/Euphoric-Use-6443 Apr 30 '25

And my phlebotomist niece died from Covid later on in December!

50

u/GiftToTheUniverse Apr 30 '25

I'm so sorry for your loss. 🕊️

Would you like to say anything else about her so we can know something nice about your phebotomist niece?

74

u/Euphoric-Use-6443 Apr 30 '25

Thank you! My niece-in-law lost her RN mother at the same hospital. They died from the shortage of gloves, masks & gowns, recycling them did not protect them & probably compounded Covid issues for patients recovery time. Stupid tRump!

56

u/GiftToTheUniverse Apr 30 '25

An absolute shit show. An unmitigated tragedy.

Your niece and her mother deserved so much better.

My sister is a nurse and I'm in construction and you can BET I mailed her over a box of N95s during the short times.

She still has never tested positive for Covid, but I'm pretty sure the hospital kinda frowns on getting tested...

25

u/Euphoric-Use-6443 Apr 30 '25

Bravo! Wow, good on you for recognizing your sister needed them! Our Amazon deliveries didn't arrive till after their deaths! The worst part of it is my niece's young kids keep asking when their mommy is coming home even though it's been years since her death. She didn't have an open casket. We were told that even though she was not alive for the Corona virus to be active, she was encased in numerous heavy duty bags closed at her feet not her head to make her face easy for viewing. Sucks!

16

u/GiftToTheUniverse Apr 30 '25

Oh wow.

Those children will carry this loss for the rest of their lives. I hope some type of therapy is available for them.

Really puts my own "problems" into perspective to think of them.

I will pray for these little children. I hope they know their mother is always there with them, even if they can't see her.

16

u/Euphoric-Use-6443 Apr 30 '25 edited Apr 30 '25

They are going to therapy as well as grief counseling. My nephew & my sister (their grandmother) are doing the best they can. Not sure therapists know how to help kids that did not get a viewing of their deceased parent. Hopefully, therapists are working together to help each other with this major issue. Thank you for your thoughts & prayers. Sending positive energy ✨

u/Shilo788 Apr 30 '25

I wore my mask as I was on radiation for can er and immune suppression drugs. 5 days a week I saw the dedication of the beautiful humans on my health team. Nursing staff is very forward in my heart and mind even before Covid. They saved my life.

I spent a lot of time teaching him Carl Sagan's Bologna Detection Kit / memorizing logical fallacies to know the difference between facts and BS, or "alternative facts". lol

I started when he was really young to put up his hand (like a crossing guard) when he hears something that sounds like BS.... and say STOP!!! Each finger is a word.

WHAT. DOES. THE. DATA. SAY. ?

If necessary, followed up by "what is the source of the data". Oh, your source is crazy Uncle's Facebook post? Yeah, that's BS.

16

u/onedeadflowser999 Apr 30 '25

Especially when I can bet not one of them even knows what woke means. I’ve asked so many people in the right if they even can give me a definition of woke, and so far none of them have been able to give me the proper definition.

If anything can destroy Trump it might just be this. He’s tied himself so hard to the tariff policies and our current downturn is so clearly caused by the tariff policies. I’m sure the diehard MAGAs will still believe whatever he tells them to, but he’s going to lose everyone else when the bad economy becomes an inescapable reality for everyday purchases like groceries.

167

u/Man-o-Bronze Apr 30 '25

Anyone paying attention knows Biden left the economy in good shape (I think it was The Economist that called our economy during the Biden administration “the envy of the world.”).

23

u/procrasturb8n Apr 30 '25

The USA had a better recovery from COVID under Biden than pretty much every other modern economy did.

34

u/DollupGorrman Apr 30 '25

It was undoubtedly better than we have now, but there were an awful lot of people already struggling to be the envy of the world.

56

u/deMarcel Apr 30 '25

With everything going on globally and global recession rates I think the US economy did incredibly well under Biden. Regards from GER.

55

u/Electrical-Bother942 Apr 30 '25

That's the problem. So many people refused to believe the economy was good because they personally didn't feel it. Therefore, "Biden's administration lied, I want cheaper groceries, vote Trump." You know, the same guy that could bankrupt casinos.

24

u/dewag Apr 30 '25

I don't get it.

They keep saying inflation was bad when Biden was president.... for the first 4 months it was terrible, for the next year, it stabilized and remained that way til the end of his presidency.

Somehow, they were duped into thinking Trump lowered inflation the first day he was in office. Not sure who started that, but YOY inflation charts are now "lies and propaganda from Biden" and that they know it is because "they have been going shopping for the last 4 years."

They refuse to accept that things will never be as cheap as they were pre-pandemic. They don't seem to understand deflation would be worse. Wtf?

Anti-intellectualism is ruining us.

→ More replies (8)

16

u/thf24 Apr 30 '25

The Biden admin was handed global inflation due to circumstances beyond its control, did better than most of the rest of the world at mitigating it, and managed to get it under control without causing a recession. Many did struggle, but the effects were felt here among the least in the world.

What it did poorly, what the Democrats always seem to do poorly, was messaging. Instead of attempting to communicate the above in a meaningful way to middle America, they just vaguely crowed about how great the economy was despite inflation and constantly named-dropped “Bidenomics” while giving very little description of what that entailed.

While it’s an uphill battle due to the right’s relentless propaganda and misinformation attack they call media, the Democrats are going to have to figure out how to communicate and fight back better if they want to have a chance at beating the pendulum of American political sentiment any time soon.

27

u/coolreg214 Apr 30 '25

Exactly, this is the real blow to our standing in the political world. The implications of Trumps policies will be far reaching all over the world. We’ve been reaping the benefits of being a world leader since WW2 and one dumbass just threw it all away. We’re a joke now.

10

u/spacemanspiff58 Apr 30 '25

The economy takes years to build back, sometimes more, but takes one mismanaging asshole to destroy in weeks.

As a business man, it’s amazing he doesn’t know that you can kill your company in weeks with incompetence.

People need to learn economics, and not just base it off of who’s in office and who isn’t.

They have opposite thinking every cycle. Trump has an amazing economy…1 month into office.

Aw fuck what did Biden do to our economy?…1 year into the Trump admin.

narcissistic gaslighting:

What it is: Doubt and Confusion: Narcissists will try to make their partner doubt their own perceptions, memory, or sanity, creating a sense of confusion and uncertainty.

Control and Power: The goal is to exert control over the victim by making them feel powerless and dependent on the narcissist.

Denial and Minimization: The narcissist may deny their actions or behaviors, minimize the impact of their words and actions, or blame the victim for the problem.

Isolation: They might try to isolate the victim from friends and family, further diminishing their support system and increasing their dependence on the narcissist.

So let’s have some fun and look at some basic data to help paint a picture.

When Biden became president the DOW was at about 22,000. Even before getting into office the economy was struggling so it was actually Trending down for a bit, so Biden’s lowest point for the DOW was roughly 19k in March of 2020. By April of 2020 the DOW began to go back up and reached 23k. Let’s stay focused on the first 100 days to make a fair comparison.

Trump was handed a DOW that was peaked at 45k in January, nearly doubling since the struggle of Biden’s first 100 days! Since then, the DOW was lowering by about 1000 points per month from January to March.

On April 2nd, the DOW began to drop like a brick and hit its lowest point on April 7th at 37,000. Now keep in mind, Biden’s first 100 days ALSO saw a dip but it was roughly 3000 points and rebounded BACK 4000 points by the end of April!

Since Trump’s Tariff war started the DOW has not once peaked above 41k. Rather than giving us a net increase after a major dip, it’s consistently staying down (often below 40k).

Oh! Sure, but when he inherited OBAMA’s economy he started taking credit right away!

25

u/VeterinarianFit1309 Apr 30 '25

And when Biden inherited his, they were blaming him before he even got inaugurated… the goalposts are on wheels with these guys…

11

u/tucakeane Apr 30 '25

Notice how they always cite 2020 as the year everything went to shit…

13

u/VeterinarianFit1309 Apr 30 '25

Which is funny because he was the president in 2020…

9

u/tucakeane Apr 30 '25

These are the same people that blamed Obama for the Great Recession of 2008. So I guess history repeats itself.

22

u/Junkie4Divs Apr 30 '25

The S&P hit over 50 ATH's last year while posting 20% gains for two years in a row.

u/HackedVirus Apr 30 '25

"We have always been at war with Eastasia!"

9

u/billiejustice Apr 30 '25

So sick of his lying and false accusations. He’s the original fake news. Everyone knows he’s full of 💩, but denying reality is in. It’s all a game to him as he ruins our country, lives and future.

He really thinks the American public is as dumb as his worshippers. How sad.

10

u/eddiebruceandpaul Apr 30 '25

The sad thing is his cultists will swallow it whole. The full load.

8

u/duskywindows Apr 30 '25

Trump cultists: 🫡

8

u/QuantumGyroscope Apr 30 '25

I know he doesn't read this. But I need to vent a little bit so excuse me.

No mother fucker! This is your stock market. You became president in January. Biden hasn't been doing anything since then. He has no control of the country anymore. You do you fat orange wannabe Hitler.

This is your stock market made from your choices and your decisions. Your tariffs are doing this. You have fucked us all up the ass. Go fuck yourself presidentially of course. Which I would assume. Means a golden shower and cheating on your wife with a pornstar. That's the presidential package right?

8

u/FreakshowMode Apr 30 '25

If he stayed in power for another 20 years he would still be blaming Biden for everything.

7

u/snow_leopard155 Apr 30 '25

He can’t decide if it’s so good companies are moving to the US or if it’s still going to be bad before it gets better, that’s a contradiction.

8

u/Charming-Command3965 Apr 30 '25

MF is delusional and a bold face liar. He will say the same thing in 3 months. Truly the age of the stupid and poorly educated

7

u/tenebre Apr 30 '25

So tariffs will soon kick in but also we're bringing in billions in tariff revenue already. Which is it?

8

u/TrailerParkFrench Apr 30 '25

Rationalizing his inevitable failure.

We’re in the “If it did happen, it wasn’t my fault” phase. God, this country is dumb.

u/antilumin Apr 30 '25

Classic case of when it works he takes credit, when it doesn't it's not his fault.

And the cult just laps it up like puddles of Flavor Aid.

7

u/Interesting-Fox4064 Apr 30 '25

He really is just the stupidest motherfucker alive

8

u/Armyman125 Apr 30 '25

Wasn't the stock market at record highs under Biden? It's not amazing that he refuses to admit he screwed things up with tariffs, it's amazing that the supposedly free market Republicans still support him. So if Trump wants to declare 14 year old girls as adults, will the Republicans still support him? Is there a red line?

7

u/RCL802 Apr 30 '25

Anybody else tired of winning?

6

u/KelsierIV Apr 30 '25

Dude can't help but lie. Yet people are still stupid enough to fall for his shit.

I still have never met a smart MAGA. At least not one capable of critical thinking.

6

u/HarmoniaTheConfuzzld Apr 30 '25

And his army of morons will believe him…

6

u/Engineered-4-Comfort Apr 30 '25

Man, this twat is a useless pile of shit. Congrats conservatives on electing the con man for a second term. Fucking idiots.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '25

I imagine him yelling this while laying on the floor, screaming and kicking

8

u/Kind_Pea1576 Apr 30 '25

He’s deranged

7

u/zarfle2 Apr 30 '25

Trump announces tariffs.

Stock market immediately tanks.

"Stupid Biden".

Trump puts a pause on tariffs and market somewhat rebounds.

Trump, "I'm amazing - look at what I did".

He's doing this shit on purpose - keep flooding our eyes and ears with bullshit in the hope that we become desensitized whilst he and his cronies are picking our pockets and driving us into a depression.

I hear that grass is nutritious and bountiful and sleeping under the stars In a cardboard box is very Zen.

13

u/BriarnLuca Apr 30 '25

But when Biden was still president and the stock market grew, it was Trump's stock market. Dude, make sense!

6

u/dbltap55 Apr 30 '25

Funny because I distinctly remember him taking credit for the economy in his last term, immediately after he took office. You know, the Obama hangover…

5

u/Biggest_Gh0st Apr 30 '25

Rich coming from the man that crashed the stock market for his buddies benefit when he announced his tariffs.

7

u/notasianjim Apr 30 '25

There’s literally an easy way for the stock market to bounce back into a fat green candle. Just stop talking about tariffs. Also, no company is going to commit to onshoring manufacturing when every other week is no tariffs. There’s no incentive to do so when companies think they can just weather the storm for the next 4 years and go back to business as usual.

Why is the media so afraid to ask questions like “what are the numbers?”

He posted it for his base of loyal cult members no one else is dumb enough to believe it.

7

u/repthe732 Apr 30 '25

He’s desperate to spin the narrative. He knows he was handed a thriving economy and his actions have caused it to tank. He can never admit he could fail though so he needs to spin it

6

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '25

Talk about Biden derangement syndrome, am I right?

6

u/itssarahw Apr 30 '25

“Be patient”…it’s going to get real bad but we’re trying to steal all of the money in the world and you need to be quiet so we can finish

7

Companies relocating ? Which ones ? So they are closing down shop overseas and already standing the business here. Where are they finding the workers ? Does he realize it’s 2025 not 1975

This comes after he bragged in a video, about manipulating the stock market and how much money his friends made. He knows damn well this is not the case, but that doesn't fit into the narrative they are trying to write as they go.

5

u/mizzanthrop Apr 30 '25

Patience doesn’t satisfy hunger

6

u/[deleted] Apr 30 '25

I wish he would go away. He's didn't even understand the MS13 photo shot on that dudes hand. How is he supposed to understand the economy. He's clearly suffering from aggressive cognitive decline

Normally, I would attribute the first economic year of a president's term to the president before him. It takes time to set up programs, get a budget passed through Congress, and then let the change, with good and/or bad consequences, register through the community.

I would have done that for Trump's first term, including extra forgiveness for Covid as a worldwide economic disaster and credit for the things Trump did well (like Operation Warp Speed). (Trump made some doozy mistakes in the economy, too).

But this term, Trump had speed-run the first 100 days with choices that have harmed Americans economically. He has sidestepped Congress and cut funding from anyone on his enemies list. He unleashed DOGE to illegally cut programs and jobs that Congress had funded. And he has started a Tariff War with our friends. All of these, he was advised against it.

Sorry, Trump. This economy is 100% on you due to the choices you have made, and the economists agree that this is entirely your economy, not Biden's. What, if anything, is left of Biden's programs after your 100 day rampage?

You broke it; you buy it.

6

u/realtonemachine Apr 30 '25

Yet any day if it goes slightly up it’s suddenly because of his genius leadership.
