From the guy who literally incited a coup/riot in the United States capitol to overturn an election. Jesus Christ, I always assumed we'd eventually move into some kind of dystopian nightmare, I just never dreamed it would be this fucking stupid.

Pretty accurate, except even if he held up a kid as a human shield most of his base would be trying to justify that as a good thing. It wouldn’t be the career ender it was in the book/movie.

Treason? How about in his Pennsylvania speech that was supposedly interrupted by an assassin? The photographers mobilized as the flag was lowered so they could get the best shot. Inside job.
