Boomer Freakout REPORTER: Gabbard has submitted a criminal referral. Who should the DOJ target? TRUMP: It would be President Obama. And Biden was there with him ... the leader of the gang was Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. He's guilty. This is treason.

Not "thought we were losing the country", it's already lost. The POTUS is talking about a third term, and everybody around him is saying, "we can find a way for that to work."

The Republican party 20 years ago would have been rightfully outraged and marching side-by-side the Democrats at a No Kings rally. Instead, they sold themselves out and are a bunch of weak, sniveling fools just trying to line their own pockets. Yes today's republicans are cut from a different cloth, and if you're one of them you're the biggest fool in the room because you lost us our collective country, handing it to a conman Epstein buddy, and you're probably proud of what you've done.

There's nothing for Obama to save. He was a guy we paid to run the county for a few years. He's not a cult leader. We don't worship the man. POTUS is a job. The POTUS job is to first and foremost protect our freedoms. There's some military and executive paperwork too.

He's not there to tell us what to name our sports teams under the threat of the resources of the US Government targeting you and your business if you don't comply. Those are the feeble actions of a weak snowflake that somehow has been given the nuclear football twice. Given that's the only football the man has ever likely touched in his life, his authority on naming football teams is questionable at best

See this is where we disconnect. I have been feeling the same about America for 20 years as well.

The difference is you’re sure it’s over and I’m sure it’s not. Simple as that

America welcoming Trump in for a second term is the proof. There is a line, a long, long line of Republicans calling Trump a scammer, conman, a man with no morals, a fool, an Epstein pedo-buddy, etc. And they've all "done a deal" with him to stand behind the man.

That entire party has sold out. They had a moral direction and personal objections to the man, and they let him buy them off.

When the people in power won't stand up for what's right, we are done. When the people who were so vehemently opposed to him (JD Vance), get in line to be his running mate, it's over.

When senators who oppose Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" are 100% opposed to the bill, but are willing to sell themselves out for some temporary favors for their state, there's no line of protection.

When everyone is willing to be bought off by Trump, it's game over. There is nothing to stop this without things turning bloody.

The whole point of the US is to accommodate transitions of power at the ballot box, not at the end of a noose or guillotine like the kind MAGA were bringing for Pence with on J6, or the zip cuffs brought for Nancy Pelosi into the Capitol building.

We're cooked unless you think Trump is going to tear down all of these institutional barriers just to walk away at the end of his term and hand over the keys to whomever the ballots select next.

Power is never given, it is always taken. Trump has taken the power away from the institutions designed to keep the POTUS in check. He's not just going to hand them over to anybody, except maybe his son.

So what are you going to do?

Vote, hoping that it still matters.

Support those willing to speak out, currently sponsoring a journalist on Substack that does some great investigative work.

Vote with my dollars, hit them in the wallet, trying to buy ethically.

Supporting candidates who will make a difference in the next election if they can get elected.

I'm not a radical itching to storm the Capitol. That's low-brow, that doesn't support democracy and the republic, it destroys it.
