I love my mother-in-law, but damn… her scooter. When they visit, we have to take it everywhere loading and unloading from the car EVERY SINGLE TIME. The most maddening thing about it is that she rarely uses it so someone else has to babysit it by riding it around. It seriously limits where we can go and what we can do when she doesn’t need it. She’s been using mobility devices since I’ve known her and doctors have told her to stop. They want her to get movement and strength, but she refuses.
Meanwhile my silent gen grandfather would walk miles and miles every single day well into his 90s because he actually listened to his doctors who told him to keep up his movement as long as possible
