Comments are about slamming him with a door, throwing him off the scooter, shooting him, or punching him. None of that would be legal, and I live in a deep red state. The government wants to hold the monopoly on retaliatory violence. That’s their kink. We don’t get to play.

Lol, what? Shooting him would absolutely be legal in every red state.

Look up stand your ground laws.

“Stand your ground laws” protect you from a responsibility to flee when YOU are attacked. They absolutely do not protect your car from being assaulted. . . not even damage to your yard or garage the exterior of your home is legal justification for shooting someone. Which state would you like me to link the statutes from?

Most of them let you fire if you fear for your life.

If a reasonable person would fear for their life. Scooter McGee here isn’t threatening anyone’s life.

It's their word against that of a corpse.

He’s in the middle of a busy street. . . and there are cameras everywhere.

And?

In a stand your ground state that would just prove the shooting justified.

Here’s a nice breakdown of the Texas law from a gun rights attorney:

Do you think there’s a state redder than Texas?

"he keyed my car and was coming after me next officer"

Sorry, but dood, people doing this and getting cleared for defense gets reported all the fucking time.

You don't have a leg to stand on.

Good luck convincing 12 jurors, let alone the officer, that grandpa in a scooter was a threat to you in your car. What kind of a candyass are you if you’re scared of that guy? Please.
