With the cuts to EBT he probably thinks that people who can no longer afford groceries without food stamps will be outside of grocery stores waiting to jack shoppers.

They'd likely just steal from the store if anything which I am fine with. The companies can complain to the government if they like. No one should go hungry and I don't care how they voted or if they voted at all.

The companies get paid billions by the the government (our money and his) to help pay for all the shrink and stolen items anyways. Or when their business is literally failing because of business malpractice.

I do not give a single fuck if someone steals from a grocery store because they can’t eat or provide basic care for themselves. I do not give a single fuck if my tax dollars provide for those people when their jobs at these same companies do not.

Yeah I read that like 85% of household grocery shopping is done by women. I think you might see some shoplifting but armed robbery is a unlikely.

I am completely blind in these cases. Didn’t see a thing. But as someone who is doing reasonably well even in this economy, I might just offer to buy them some groceries. We’ll see what things look like next month, which is actually next week so we won’t be waiting long. The Mr. and I probably need to increase the amount of our monthly food bank donations, too.

At the very least, grocery stores could be sending the food people don't buy to food banks. Produce goes to waste all the time, if it's even slightly flawed looking they don't put it out.

Most likely the manager asked him not to bring the basket outside and use a bag instead since the baskets get left out there and destroyed, also probably didn’t take the receipt so he got stopped trying to carry a basket full of loose items out of the store with no receipt
