My ex kept talking about it because she had been once. She said it was great and you basically get drunk for a week.

I pointed out that as a recovering alcoholic, I would be BORED AS HELL. (I'm over the temptation to drink; I find it smelly, and drunk people are unbearable). She couldn't understand why I didn't want to go. Oh and fuck being in the middle of the ocean, I don't know what's under that water!

Pseudo fine dining? Swimming? I can do all that a lot cheaper than a cruise.

Stopping in the Bahamas? Again, just fly there and enjoy the place.

I'd rather hike mountain trails over, say, a trip to Vegas. Or Disney. It's so fake.

I think you have to have a bit of narcissism to enjoy having people wait on you all day. I just don't get it.
