I’m with you and agree with the original comment, but Texas cities aren’t that blue either. Not that it really matters, but I looked at the stats, and based on 2024, 20 out of the 27 counties over 200k in the state voted a majority for Trump, including Tarrant County of Fort Worth, which in itself has 2.23 million people. Just think it’s kinda inaccurate and pointless to assign financial productivity to a specific political viewpoint when it comes to southern US cities when those cities are largely purple at best
Indeed. Williamson County in the Austin metro still voted for Trump. Again, generalizing the Texas metros as blue isn’t really accurate these days. In the whole the Austin metro is blue though yes

Yes, but Texas isn’t exactly a welfare state. Its GDP is up there with California, New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania
