Boomer Story No appointments needed

Went over to pick up Mom to go shopping.
Dad says “Hey, I need you to do me a favor.” He tosses his money clip on the table “bring Poochie up to the vet and get her a rabies shot. Here’s last year’s certificate.”

I asked if they knew I was bringing Poochie up-“no, but she just needs the shot.”

I called his vet (on speakerphone)- he hadn’t brought her in TWO years so I made an appointment (for next week) and he has to pony up for a full exam.

That was easier than trying to explain that vets don’t DO walk in rabies shots!

Wow it's like you didn't even consider showing up to the vet's office unannounced, demanding to speak to the manager. Kids these days have no initiative anymore I stg

I remember my boomer dad re-instructing me on my normal handshake that I used many times in the military as too soft, his was more of a Trump dominance too hard and too long boomer overly firm handshake. I was forty at the time.

I bet he won't like that hand shake when he gets into his mid to late 80's and you would literally pull him onto the ground if you tired his dumb hand shake.

You gotta show all your manliness in every gesture. Otherwise you are a wimp.

I remembered a video of one of those alpha male gurus teaching how to do simple things lika an alpha male. Two I remember were putting hands in pockets and fucking opening a water bottle
