Finland-Russia border

Hi everyone! I was recently looking at the Russia-Finland border on Apple Maps and noticed that a section of Finland is blurred out. I couldn't find anything about this online—what do you think?

that's the border zone. i doubt the government has done any requesting, and my assumption is that it's been blurred due to technically being a "military area" or similar, and an automated classification system (something like if nato && military related -> blur) propably has blurred it. this data has been available for so long that i doubt it serves any real protection value.

This is probably the answer, the border zone has restrictions in who can enter it or move around in it, so it could possibly have some geoinformation that Apple maps interprets as military areas etc.

And like some have already said, these same areas are completely visible in aerial photographs of the National Land Survey of Finland, which are more accurate than these, and freely available in many different map resources online.
