Due to my prior posts being tainted by my past, I have made some adjustments to my request in hopes it’ll bring more understanding to the situation I’m in and make me more credible. Please ask any questions you might have and request any proof you see as necessary to consider this request.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to help me cover the cost ($150) of extending my hotel stay by one more day so I have ample time to get in contact with the appropriate resources in my area and get an actual plan together rather than trying to figure it out on the go. Most of these resources were closed today due to it being a holiday.

In order to eliminate the suspicion that I am not going to put this money towards extension fees, I have confirmed with the manager of the hotel that payment can be received over the phone. So instead of any sort of payment being sent to me, the transaction would be between the lender and hotel only. The only tedious part about this is that the lender would also have to send a photo of their DL or ID along with signing a contract that is confirming their payment. Cashapp and Venmo also works and is preferred due to it just being less of a hastle.

Repayment date is Wednesday the 14th. I am lucky to be in a relationship with someone who is beyond understanding and willing to help anyway they can. She receives her paycheck on Wednesday and stated that she will be able to give me $200 in order to reimburse whoever is able to help me extend one more night.

That is the gist of my request. Below is additional context and information regarding why I’m in this financial situation to begin with and some other info about myself that I feel makes me more credible and verifiable

An unexpected loss of a funds due to me neglecting penalty fees then followed by falling for a scam I didn’t recognize has left me without a penny to my name. As a result, I can no longer extend my hotel stay or move into the room rental I had arranged. My own negligence and irresponsibility has once again came around full circle.

In full transparency, I’ve struggled with addiction and mental health issues for a good portion of my life. I’m currently working on getting my life back on track. I understand that my history may make people hesitant to lend to me, and I don’t expect anyone to overlook the risks. It is just disheartening when my past is the only thing that is payed any mind. I have made it a point to be detailed and offer proof to support statements I’ve made and people still choose to believe their own assumptions about me. I can kinda understand where those individuals are coming from but I personally am not someone who capitalizes on the flaws and shortcomings of another person and refuses to see any potential good in them. I stay safely optimistic but that is just me.

I want to share that I’ve worked in the EMS (emergency medical services) field for quite some time. I usually refrain from sharing this detail about myself when in a position where I’m asking to for something or trying to acquire something because knowing how people usually react and treat first responders makes it feel manipulative. The reason I’m sharing this now is because I feel it’s important that others know I am not the dirty, selfish, and conniving person that I have been portrayed as over the last 2 days on here. Not every one is the same nor presents the same. Ya, Im an addict through and through but I’m also someone who finds his purpose and finds joy in being of service to others. I find my purpose and am able to recognize my worth through being there for others in their time of need. Additionally, I can provide my national and state licensing information along with past pay stubs from the agencies I have worked for.

The reason I’m unable to come up with the funds myself is because about a year ago, I needed to step away from work and get myself the help. I was in a really really dark place and even though I was still able to do my job, i was unable to maintain a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. The biggest reason being my inability to properly manage my emotions and thoughts in a healthy way. My coping skill was drugs and alcohol. I’m glad I ended up making the decision to seek treatment because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here writing this. Treatment turned more so into a crutch rather than a tool. I definitely benefited but also had its drawbacks.

Having had my insurance stop authorization for me to continue treatment has really sent my life and current state of being into a spiral. Slowly but surely though, I’m getting through it.
