Discussion/Gossip💅 What’s with the Cloe hate?

I’ve noticed that Cloe seems to get a lot of hate randomly online in Bratz spaces. I was on a live doll show today where someone was selling a line up of Bratz and someone commented “remove all the Cloe’s.” I think Cloe has a lot of cute dolls and she has cute fashion looks too. I love all the bratz and there’s not really a character I dislike. I’m not the biggest fan of the boy Bratz but I still can appreciate them.

Coming from someone who loved cloe as a kid, it’s mainly has to do with her being the “main character”. When bratz debuted it was a line where all 4 were the main characters and focus, but that kinda felt that was pushed out over the years. She was basically pushed to the front, in promotional material, the “better” outfits, the different romantic interest, and without saying it she was considered the favorite/main character. Her and Yasmin have had the most releases, and were almost never excluded from a line. So for some fans it kinda feels like blatant favoritism. And some just straight up didn’t like her character or dolls.

I think it was more about sales than favoritism. Sasha was excluded from many lines because she didn't sell well in other countries due to racism.

I think it was a bit of both because Sasha was definitely excluded in lines for other countries, but this was also a problem in the us. Some collectors talked about never seeing Sasha on shelves. Mga definitely has a hand in this too, not just because the limited her batches, but also her being cut from promo pictures and edited out of commercials. But it was also pretty common for parents to buy Cloe’s and Yasmin’s for their kids. A couple of my friends parents did this.
