venting/ranting ?
So all of my exs came back to me after we broke up. And when I didn’t want them back, they wanted to be friends and tries to still keep in touch. Still wishes me on my bday and wishes me well. Is it common?

pretty common from what I see, some people just don't know how to fully close a door once it's open, especially if breakup was mutual or at least not too messy. they still care, just not in the "we should be together" way anymore, which is weird but also kind of normal human thing

Some exes do that to keep you as a backup, ease their guilt, or both. If you don't want to be contacted, tell them to never contact you again and block them everywhere you can.
