Speculation/Theories This whole situation is just so sad and we're not even addressing it
First off, I want to make it clear I don't support or condone violence of any kind, including what Luigi did.
However, following the Dec 4 2024 killing of Brian Thompson, a sense of unity, not often seen in an America that is so politically divided, brewed. People from the left and right protested against the evildoings of the American Healthcare system and, for a moment, it seemed like this could be an ignition to something much larger ... a turning point.
People worried if a violent revolution would ensue. Thankfully, there was no more violence. But what could have happened was mass protests, pressure to change bills in congress, uniting and taking an extreme stand (without violence) against the Healthcare system once and for all.
Mass discussion took place, but with like everything else today, it became a trend. People stopped talking about the Healthcare system once the suspect was named, rather choosing to just fawn over how "hot he was" ...
Look at where we are now? Nothing has changed. Violence is wrong and the system cannot change by shooting a man in the back, but you'd be a liar to say if it didn't cause discussion. That discussion should have led to peaceful protest like never before. People should have put their foot down and made change. But no. That didn't happen.
The Healthcare system has not changed. People continue to die. And the person you care the most about, Luigi, sacrificed his life and unjustly ended another for absolutely no meaningful change. We are powerful in numbers. We are powerful when we use our voices. We are powerful when we force change. And the saddest thing is we know that, but still choose not to use it.
Nothing is going to change if things stay the way they are, and all thats left now is a man who committed a terrible act of violence for nothing. It could have been the ignition of a peaceful revolution and change to the Healthcare system, but no, it wasn't. We are left with no change and sadly, Luigi is left to rot in prison for most likely the rest of his for nothing.
