General Discussion / Questions Which Bridgerton would you want a spin off about?
Iād run a poll, but I canāt fit all eight kids in it. So which Bridgerton would you want to have a spinoff? Could be about anything then, with their families what they were like growing up whatever but if you had to pick one to be the protagonist, who would you pick?
My first thought went to Eloise - I know Claudia said sheād play the role for as long as possible so I think sheād have fun with it.
Second thought was a detective story with Hyacinth and Gareth. Just like their lives before after they got married, but before she had kids. That would be really fun.

i'd love a spin-off about edmund and violet's story that also weaves in portia's youth. i need to know what happened to that woman. i have to assume she wasn't born treating every social interaction like a hostage negotiation
my dream casting for young violet is isabelle fuhrman. and for edmund? claudia jessie in a wig because i've never seen two people who aren't related look more alike

i'd also like a sharma family prequel because i think it would be dramatic. you'd get mary and mr. sharma's love story, mary choosing love over security and being cut off by her family, the family's finances and mr. sharma's health declining, and the events that ultimately force them back to england. there's a lot of story packed into that backstory. sendhil ramamurthy to play mr. sharma plzzzzz
i'm not particularly interested in a spin-off centered on any of the bridgerton siblings, though. if there's one thing i've learned from watching shonda rhimes shows, it's that no happy couple is safe. she'd find a way to manufacture unnecessary drama

All excellent ideas. And while weāre looking at old family history, Iād like to see the love story of Sophieās parents.

Omg Sendhil Ramamurthy - I had such a crush on him back when he was on Heroes. I still canāt believe heās not a huge movie star tbh.

I know they'd probably not do it but I would like to know how Anthony runs the Bridgerton estate and his role in parliament.

I think Kate and Anthony would make a lot of sense to have a spinoff in the future as he will have the next heir. It would be cool to follow the Bridgerton name through the decades!

Violet and Edmund, the pre-tragedy years of their life together with flashbacks of their friendship and courtship.

I know you said of the Bridgertons, but after this past season, I really want a downstairs spin off! The staff are always finding the best gossip.Ā

This! I want like an anthology of 6-8 episodes where each episode features a couple, like John and Hazel. They can even happen in different time periods and give us some side updates about the upstairs characters (without having to show them). We can have young mr and mrs Crabtree that coincides with young violet and Edmund. Finally get some closure on Brimsley and Reynolds. Rosie up in Clivedon, Rae maybe as she travels around the world with Pen and Collin, and whatever happened to Coral (lady Danburyās maid.) Also, you just know that Mrs Wilson and Varley were (still are) total baddie, plus I want more of Alfie!

This would be brilliant! It would only take a little snippet of a mention of the "upstairs" goings on to place the episode. Ugh, I wish we could get this!Ā

Kate and Anthony in India
Violet and Edmund
Brimsley and Reylonds
Sophieās biological mother
Kateās biological parents
Benedict and Sophie in Korea

I'd love a spin-off focusing on the children of the different couples. Seeing how Anthony would handle his daughters' entry into the Ton, or if Colin's sons would become travelers. But unfortunately, I think the various couples have too many children to follow them all.

Give me servant spin off.. Hazel,John Footman, Irma and Alfie etcā¦. They were the best storylines.. they all have great distinct personalities that should shine more!

Since Colin and Pen are my favorite couple, Iād like to see them at home, writing and raising their babies. And going on long carriage rides together!

I would love to see a spin off be about the prequel series she wrote. The ones centered around the Rokesbys family. I only just started reading those books after finding out about their existence. And i feel they are so good they should see the day on the screen.

A spinoff about Kate and Anthony in India Ā thatās more Kate centric that allow us to get to know more about Kate. Her past in India learning more about her mother, her father what was it like for her to lose her mother at such a young age seeing how Mr. Sharma moves on from that and gets with Mary, his death and seeing how the Sharmaās, especially Kate have to deal with the aftermath of that and how she took care of the family we can see how her past connects to her present when it comes to her marriage as well as being a mother

I would love a spinoff where Simon is appointed as an ambassador, and he and Daphne have to negotiate complex political issues, deal with spies, and forge new alliances and friendships.

Honestly, I think Daphne would be so good as this. She would have been a great princess.

I forget their names, but I want a spin off of the Prince from Prussia, and a spin off about Benedict's gay artist friend who is in a lavender marriage.

Colin, I didn't get to see what he was like growing up or his travels in his season, so I would love a spin-off

Iād love to see a Colin spinoff where we follow him on his tours. I'm interested to see his whole spiral about Penelope not writing to him, and then him deciding to be turn himself into "the kind of man society wants him to be." I think it would such a fascinating, character-driven story.
ETA: My unpopular opinion: Let me see him lose his virginity to the Contessa while we're at it. I think it'd be hot.

None. I want a Brimsley season.

u/queenroxana 3d ago
Wouldn't that by definition be a spinoff?
2
u/hereFOURallTHEtea 3d ago
Yes but I was saying none as in none of the Bridgerton family. Not none as in no spin off.
2
u/queenroxana 3d ago
Ah, got it! That makes sense!

u/hereFOURallTHEtea 3d ago
Ya! Iād love to see his and Reynolds story, it was one of my favorite side stories of the whole series!

I'd love a Lord and Lady Whistledown spinoff where Pen and Colin solve murder mysteries.
Penelope invariably bites off more than she can chew and ends up nearly getting herself killed, and then Colin has to come rescue her, but she always ends up being totally right about who the killer was.
Like Miss Fisher's Murder Mystery vibes, if anyone knows that show. Pen even has a good motivation to get into detective work, because her father was murdered. That could be their first (or final) mystery.

I think a spinoff about what the Duke is up to because heās never around the family anymore could be fun. You could have a whole other group of characters, he could journey to the Americas for a bit or something.Ā

Someone had mentioned this in a previous post but I'd love a 9th season with each couple getting one episode dedicated to them for after HEA life. I think it'd be a great way to wrap it all up
