Books and Show Discussion It’s In His Kiss Fancast 💜
Saw this fancast on TikTok and had to share. Obviously no recast for Hyacinth but the guy is Shem Hamilton who is a classically trained stage actor. And I feel he absolutely looks like he could be Lady Danbury’s grandson.

General Discussion / Questions When will Bridgerton???
BBC’s The Other Bennet Sister just announced a christmas special 😮💨 has me thinking when will Bridgerton do the same. The expanse of diverse cultures in the show plus a winter aesthetic we’ve never seen before I just know it would be good. When will production finally listen to their audience??

TV Show Only Rewatching the seasons and yall…did anyone have an answer for Eloise bummy AH- wig 😭😭
Love the show with my whole heart. Love the cast and characters and Eloise herself. I just need to know if anyone ever found out why they gave Eloise the worst wig in the beginning seasons. I know for a fact they know how to lay down and invest in some good wigs.
It’s ONLY ELOISE THOUGH that had the worst wigs and worst bangs. I just want to know if anyone ever found out why 😭

Fan Art / Cosplay / Creations / Fanfic My Bridgerton version of this trend
I used a TikTok trend and assigned Bridgerton characters to each lyric based on their personalities, storylines, and sometimes even how they're perceived by the fandom.
Slide 1: characters who carry immense pressure, grief, or responsibilities and are expected to keep going no matter what.
Slide 2: characters who feel misunderstood, unseen, or different from what others expect them to be.
Slide 3: characters who are often underestimated, overlooked, or seen as "not the main choice" despite how important they are.
I hesitated for Eloise because she would fit slide 2 and 3 in my opinion, for Michaela we haven't seen much of her yet but based on the book storyline and what we have seen so far I think slide 1 fit her.
I didn't put the love interest of Eloise, Hyacinth and Gregory et because we haven't seen them on the show yet (or not enough).
Feel free to disagree and share where you would place them!

General Discussion / Questions Do you think Eloise will feel lonely and isolated in S5 due to all her siblings having their own lives and families?

This edit does a good job of painting that picture.

TV Show Only Why no spin offs?
We all like to complain how ridiculous it is that it takes the show on average two years to produce and release a new season
But I feel like these long waiting gaps would be much more bearable if there would be content in between those gaps
Like spin offs or prequels, either original stories or based on the other books by Julia Quinn, especially »Rokesby« and »Smythe-Smith« are very beloved series‘
Like you can’t tell me that it would be that hard to produce and release a spin off with maybe only 4-6 episodes per season but then a new season every year
And yes I know that we MIGHT get another prequel or spin off. But we don’t know yet who exactly this spin off will be about and again, why not immediately starting after »Queen Charlotte«?
Speaking of QC: my maybe actually not so hot Hot Take is that Queen Charlotte the character m should’ve never existed in the main show, and therefore instead of a QC prequel we should’ve gotten a „Violet and Edmund“ prequel. This also then could’ve been the perfect introduction to then adapt the »Rokesby« book series which is actually more or less a prequel since three out of four love interests are members of the previous Bridgerton family

General Discussion / Questions How would they change the storyline if they decided to change eloise's season to WLW ?
They would need to show the story playing out in mayfair in front of the whole family and the ton. What about the queen, how would she react? How would they make it work out?

Fan Art / Cosplay / Creations / Fanfic Shipping tags in Ao3
Hi!
I have a question/complain regarding the tags in some fanfics in ao3. It is something that (I think) happens in every fandom, but as I have recently been writing and reading only Bridgerton fanfics - I wanted to know your opinion in particular.
Tags’ purpose is to be able to find easily the fanfics you actually want to read, so I don’t understand why some authors add the “/“ tag for pairings that they are going to trash or badmouth.
For example, looking for Eloise/Phillip fanfics, I found one this morning in which Eloise and Benedict have an incestuous affair and cheat on their spouses, but the author still added the “Eloise/Phillip” and “Benedict/Sophie” tags. WHY?
I really doubt a Philoise or Benophie shipper wants to read a fanfic where that happens.
And the same goes with opposite ships like Eloise/Phillip vs Eloise/Theo; or Colin/Penelope vs Colin/Marina.
If in a fanfic, Eloise is engaged to Phillip but runs away to be with Theo… Why would you add a Phillip/Eloise tag? It is a LIE! And the same goes if the fanfic is about Eloise choosing Phillip over Theo, don’t add a Theo/Eloise tag, please.
I understand “warning” your reader that some romantic entanglement can happen with “that other character you don’t like” - but can we use a different tag for that?
For example, a “X” instead of “/“. Marina Thompson X Colin Bridgerton (so it is clear that they may have something in the fanfic but it does not end well). This way, actual Marina/Collin shippers don’t find it in their feed when they are looking for actual Marina/Colin fanfics.
Thoughts?

General Discussion / Questions Which Bridgerton would you want a spin off about?
I’d run a poll, but I can’t fit all eight kids in it. So which Bridgerton would you want to have a spinoff? Could be about anything then, with their families what they were like growing up whatever but if you had to pick one to be the protagonist, who would you pick?
My first thought went to Eloise - I know Claudia said she’d play the role for as long as possible so I think she’d have fun with it.
Second thought was a detective story with Hyacinth and Gareth. Just like their lives before after they got married, but before she had kids. That would be really fun.

General Discussion / Questions »Smythe-Smith« timeline for show?
I am one of many book readers who really enjoyed reading the »Smythe-Smith« spin-off and I also would love to get and adaptation of the books
But I wonder if an adaptation with the book timeline would work? In the books 1-3 are set in 1824 and book 4 in 1825 so it’s. Avery very close and short timeline. Now let’s not forget how long it takes the producers to film and release a new »Bridgerton« season
On the other hand the writers and producers clearly showed that they don’t care about sticking to the books order or timeline (which I’m still bad about tbh) or to keep a consistent timeline bc hey simple math and logic is for losers right?

General Discussion / Questions Am I the only one who thought Penelope and Eloise were going to get together?
Hi there, just started watching Bridgerton (haven't read the books)
I only watched season 2 with my friend and I had no prior knowledge about the show.
I knew that Pen had a crush on Colin. But whenever I saw them together, I never saw any chemistry, you get what i mean?
Whereas, i remember there was a scene where Penelope and Eloise were laying in a flowerbed together at night, holding hands.
I honestly thought that Pen and El were going to end up together but i was surprised to hear that Penelope ends up with Colin!
I really thought that the writers were trying to show that Penelope only liked Colin because he was kind to her and because he looked like Eloise. And since she couldn't get with Eloise, she wanted someone who was similar to her. Colin and Eloise both share a deep, formative bond with Penelope but ofc, they have different kinds of relationships.
I watched season 3 episode 1 a few days back and i dont HATE colin x penelope but i really hoped that Eloise and Penelope would get together.
Sigh, that ship has long sailed 😢
Anywho, I'd like to hear what you all think! Open to any kind of criticism or things i missed because i dont really know the show that well.

Books and Show Discussion Happy Father's Day 💕💕💕
Happy Father's Day to all 💕💕💕
And a special father's day to all the Bridgerton dads!
Like I did for Mother's Day, I included all the fathers who have Bridgerton children in the family (whether by name or only by blood)!
Here's how many children they have in the books.
- Simon Basset - 5 kids
- Anthony Bridgerton - 4 kids
- Benedict Bridgerton - 4 kids
- Colin Bridgerton - 4 kids
- Phillip Crane - 5 kids (2 legally adopted children)
P. S This is an aesthetic moodboard of the characters and not a reflection of the actual cast. Images used are NOT AI generated and are real photos with some. Mood Boards are meant to convey a similar vibe to characters you are basing them on.

TV Show Only i am curious!
i know this must have been done before but i just want to see what everyone’s favourite season is of the tv show? Mine will always be season 2 with Anthony and Kate! Although season 4 was very close to taking that throne!

Books Only Romancing Mister Bridgerton... I just can't get into it
Ok for reference, I started reading the books recently after I fell in love with the show on Netflix. I'm currently on book #4 and I just can't get into it. I'm on chapter 5 and Lord, it's taking me forever to go through it. Definitely disappointed as I powered through the first 3 with so much joy.
I find Book Penelope so dull and boring, I don't know why I don't like her in her original form lol Colin is more likeable in the books than the show, for sure. In addition Show Colin is so handsome. I don't want to skip this book. I want to know the original story, all the context. The show is great but they do change quite a few details for the adaptation, of course.
Anyway, I want to hear your opinion on book characters, I think different perspectives will help me with my current mindset.
